A prayer for Angus

Our dog, Angus, has got cancer. He has failed two courses of chemotherapy and the vet tells us he probably only has a few weeks left.

My wife and I have been unable to have children and this dog is like the child we never had. He is only 7 years old and would normally have a number of years left with us.

My wife and I have been praying for God to cure him. We know he is only a dog and there are many people who need healing. But he is very important to us. We would ask for your prayers.

Oh God please have mercy on Angus. If it be your will LORD, please give him more years. I bring to mind Isaiah 38:5.

Praying for Angus and for you and your wife.

They are family so my prayers are with you!
 
As a fellow dog owner, I can understand that a dog is genuinely a loving family member to us. I am definitely praying that God Blesses Angus with His Healing Touch and that God Blesses the vets with wisdom and knowledge to help Angus with the best care possible. I pray that you hear great news of great health

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (Angus). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Angus’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen
