What does a person do when God doesn’t seem to exist, your prayers go unanswered, medical doctors either can’t help or don’t care, and your in an extremely hopeless situation each day worse?
Sometimes I feel that God exists to some people but to others He can’t reach them or vice versa so I’m questioning whether concept of God/Jesus is all man made.

Please no answers saying things like “god heard,he just said no” etc as it will just make me feel worse right now.

Thankyou

hello

please remember that our life here on Earth is temporary so you cannot say that it will always be fun times for others, you don-t know what their crosses are. All of us are going to experiece sufferings in this life because we are humans and we will one day have to pass away

Pray, Hope and Dont worry

Please concentrate on prayer

Your will be done Lord Your will be done. I do not know what will happen tomorrow but thank you thank you for today.

Hi Elena,

Just how serious are you in wanting an answer to your questions? I mean, if you tell us up front what you don’t want to hear, then why are you asking? No one can prove the existence of God to someone who doesn’t want to believe. I think that comes under the heading of “Free Agency.”

You see, the facts of the matter are that God is not our personal Bell Hop to wait on us and deliver everything that we seem to want. God is GOD and although He loves all of His children (even the ones who don’t believe in Him,) He is not under any obligation to show up and meet our criteria.

As for your questions: He tells us “no” a lot of times because the bottom line is that He knows what is good for us and we don’t! We just know what WE WANT! It’s kind of like a small child pulling on her mothers clothes and asking for an ice cream cone just before dinner. Ice cream is fine, but not before dinner, so the mother will probably say no. God is the same.

Now as to the medical doctors, God doesn’t give them their answers, nor is He responsible for what they say. It is our responsibility to try to pick a good doctor and then to listen to what he has to tell us when we come to them for help. If we find ourselves in a bad situation health-wise, that is no ones fault either. As one of my son’s said; Life happens. And you know what? He was right! Life doesn’t come with guarantees, we just have to take it a day at a time and do the best we can, all the while praying for God’s grace to make it: one day at a time! Yesterday is gone, and tomorrow isn’t here yet, just today, this moment exists for us. We need to make it count!

Elena,

I’m sorry that you are in such pain right now. I’ve been there. I remember times when I was in such extreme emotional pain, and I couldn’t get away from it. I used to suffer from tremendous anxiety and it was awful. But one good thing about it was that it caused me to abandon my agnosticism/atheism, swallow my pride, and pray. I prayed to the Blessed Mother and I was given faith. It was a huge gift that I didn’t deserve.

My life has not been a picnic ever since, but I still believe and my faith has grown. There has still been pain, and numerous disappointments. But God is always there, whether things are going my way or not.

I can’t fix what is going on in your life, and I don’t even have the slightest idea what that is. But I can tell you what works for me: pray and be patient. Even though things might not appear to go the way you want them to, God has a plan that is much better than anything you or I could think up. Just wait and have faith. Remember that life is full of pain, but that true happiness comes from loving God.

I have mostly always found that God gives what you need, but not the things you want,
He does give you what you need to gain the things you want, we just need to find our way,
We need to find positive thinking people , we need to find positive surrounding,
Bright colors, bright music, talk with people that have succeeded in life, and avoid people that have never tried, if your just looking for proof that God really is in your life,
You won’t find God down the street, God is within… Look within and think about the good you have brought to others , God is in the little things, little things like what your now reading and what Im typing

Sorry for your difficulties. You have been prayed for this morning.

Praying for you …

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

There have been few moments in my life where I have experienced anything like what seems to be your daily life and I feel that it would be very difficult to put myself in your shoes. I have recieved comfort during those times of feeling hopeless by reading the lives of the saints, many who suffered greatly throughout their entire lives. The story of St. Monica has always inspired and encouraged me and there are many others you might find helpful. I will pray with you and for you for relief from your hopeless situation.

**I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth;
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son Our Lord,
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into Hell; the third day He rose again from the dead;
He ascended into Heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God, the Father almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting.
Amen. **
