A Premise: Abortion vs. Child Support

“Saying that birth control & abortion are exclusively woman issues is tantamount to saying that child-rearing and paying child support is also.”

I’m trying to build a reductio ad absurdum argument to show that if the first is true then the 2nd must follow.
What do you all think?

Eh idk how effective it will be. They would probably try and turn it around on you as proof that the man who gets her pregnant should have to pay for her abortion while at the same time still denying the baby in her womb is a life.

C’mon, I am against abortion as much as the next catholic but you got to admit that somebody’s gonna have to pay for all of these unwanted children. Odds are the mother who was too poor to afford BC will not be rolling in the $$$. Also the mother who didnt take enough personal responsibility to abstain from sex wont be winning an award for parent of the year. If you want no abortion you are going to need bigger social safeguards
 
A better question would be this:

If child support, government welfare and abortions were done away with, do you think that people would think twice about having sex with people they aren’t married to?

Just a thought…

No. People have been having pre-marital sex for thousands of years! God hardwired us to procreate once we hit our tweens. Its immoral but not surprising when people succumb to temptations of the flesh. Unwanted kids have always been around since the dawn of civilization.
