I have a question. If a priest has had his faculties suspended a divinis or has been laicized*,* can the priest still give Absolution after a Confession or Consecrate the Eucharist (affect the change of bread and wine into the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ)??? In case there is any confusion, I am asking if a priest that has his faculties suspended or has been laicized decides to say a Mass in his room, will the bread and wine become the Consecrated Eucharist??? Or if a person comes to him for a Confession, can he give Absolution to the penitent???
Or when people say a priest forever, do they refer to the the indelible mark of Holy Orders on the soul??? Thanks and God Bless.
