A problem with the FSSP

Recently, I was looking into the FSSP and I was inspired to join it. So, I decided to join the confraternity, but the problem is I have to have Mass offered for it and that just is not feasible with my current financial situation. What do I do?
 
Having a Mass offered only should incur a small stipend. If you can’t afford it save up till you can?

Turn in some pop bottles and go through your couch cushions. The stipend is only $5.00. 🙂
 
I’m a member of the Confraternity also. I’ve asked a Dominican priest, who says the old Dominican Rite, to offer a Mass for the FSSP. I’m a little short on cash too but I was able to scrape up $10.00.
 
That’s a ridiculous amount. The old widow was comending by our Lord when she only put in a few small pennies.

You give what you can. An obligatory amount should not be asked for.
 
Talk to the priest you wish to celebrate the Mass for your intention. A diocese has the authority to set a standard stipend, but the priest is free to accept either larger or smaller amounts.

If a certain amount is what you truely can give, the VAST majority of priests would be comfortable with that.

I know of a time my son wanted to have a Mass said for a particular intention, he gave the priest one dollar of his own money that he earned himself (he was 6 at the time). The priest had no problems accepting it, and turned down my private offer to make up the difference.
