I was raised a prodestant. I confessed the worst thing I have ever done to a Catholic Priest. As I walked away after mass, I had a vision of Jesus in heaven. There he was, similar to how he is depicted, in white robes with three sheep to his left. I found out I had a baby and moved into my ex’s apartment in another state. Could I confess over the phone or would it be better to find a new priest? Is it ok to go to another priest when you know you have one bringing visions of Jesus for you already?

Without commenting on your vision-- Catholics confess to Catholic priests, in person.

You said that you were raised Protestant. Are you Catholic now?

To answer your question, no… telephone, email, etc. are not the norm. Confessions are done in person. God bless.

any priest will do. remember they are all taking the place of God. they are standing in. the book on catholic teaching refers to priests as “another christ” so no matter which one you go to. you are going directly to christ. I have recieved many graces in confessions with many different priests. A visit to a priest is an encounter with christ in the truest sense.
