well here we go again. Where did you hear that the Freemasons are openly anti-catholic???

I’ve been a Freemason for years and I’ve never, ever heard or read of anything that remotely can be considered anti-Catholic. While I can’t speak for the Masons of the 1800’s I can speak for today and I’m not sure where you got this so-called plan to destroy and dismantle the Catholic Church. I’m sure the Roman Catholic members of my lodge would have something to say about that.

Are you certain those members are Roman Catholic ? The lodge, is it a blue lodge ? Those lodges are not exactly full of true Freemasons.

I can only tell you about those whom I know from my lodge. Approximately 40% are Roman Catholic, the reminder are various Christians, Jewish and one muslim.

And yes, this is a Blue Lodge.

I concur with you that the Church considers those who join Freemasonry to be in a grave state of sin. However as a Freemasons, we do not discriminate against any qualified man who wants to join the Fraternity.

Any religious issues are between the Brother and his spiritual advisor (Priest, Minister, Rabbi, Imam, etc).

I’ve asked a few Brothers about the churche’s position on membership in Freemasonry outside of lodge and everyone of them are aware of the position of the Church, but have said to a man that they do not agree with the teachings of the Church when it comes to Freemasonry. Interestingly, many of them attend Mass regularly and are involved in the church; one of whom is also a K of C member.
