A question about icons!

Even when I was an atheist, I would likely never have treated a holy image, including an icon, with any sort of disrespect or considered them merely pretty pictures or mere artwork.
Which means you were never truly atheist 😉

never buy anything from Monastery Icons ! They are a Pagan Hindu group !

I had a good friend, a professional artist, who bagan making Icons about 40 years ago. She sold them to both Orthodox and Catholic Churches, Orthodox and Catholic Monasteries, both churches, and to many lay people.

I am proud to have one of her Icons displayed on my living room wall (it was a wedding gift, 33 years ago).

An Icon is nothing more than a religious picture of a particular type. It is never worshiped, it only helps one to focus on the worship Of God, and the veneration of the Saints.

I’ve never heard of this. I’m glad you informed me but is their information to support your claim?

I appreciate the heads up.
