By the way, that western actor that you are thinking of… is who I was named after. 😊 Along with the doctor who delivered me.

Oh, I think St. Philomena is another, if I remember correctly.

OH! And I cannot forget St. Jude… Hopeless case, yep that’s me!
Read Spe Salvi. No one is hopeless.

Oh, and the name of the show is “Family Affairs.” 😉

I did a Google search for ya.

Yes! That was it. He was blonde, the kids were from Terra Haute Indiana I think, and they had a jolly cook with a deep voice, and well, that doll with the spectacles blue polka dot dress…
Do you look like him? I mean, Brian Keith?

What makes you a hopeless case?
The brain, dude, the brain! 😃

By hopeless case, it’s a joke that I always have…

Plus, sometimes when I feel like one (not the way I joke) then I ask St. Jude for intercession and run to Mother Mary’s arms.

This dude Monica does not think you are hopeless. Just wanting to get through school.

I know… but I am actually failing one class… I just don’t get the material… BIOLOGY! I study and have tutors, just doesn’t register in my brain, I’m an English major for goodness sake, at least now I know it was never required to take Biology, I’m like, “Thanks for telling me now!” LOL!

By the way, I sometimes call everyone dude… but thanks, now I’ll call you a dudette. 😉 I am getting through, just not through Biology… I am so taking Geology next semester.

Instead of thinking about what is not as easy for you think about the talent thing, and what you are good at. Try to work in to your Biology class your strengths.

Thanks…

That statement put into perspective that when we are Christians we should focus on the gifts we do have and use them accordingly, not what we do not have…

Exactly! Like not all are blessed with the same amount of grace, or talents (evangelism, charasmatic gifts, teaching, prayer life, knowledge of scripture, faith, ect… so many more)

We are how he made us to be, and in Genesis he said it was GOOD. Let it be good to you as well!👍

It’ll be good practice for the real world. Adults never have to do things we can’t do - we hire people for those jobs. 😉

(Did you hear about the Automotives and Woodshop classes in the elite prep school? Students were given the usual assignments typical of such classes - change the oil and spark plugs in a car, build a storage container, and remodel a kitchen. However, instead of being given tool boxes and instructions in how to use big machinery, each student in the class was issued just three things - a VISA credit card, a telephone, and a copy of the Yellow Pages.)
