When a person lies out of both sides of his mouth, that means he’s really confused. It’s best to get out of religion altogether than to stay confused. At least you don’t have to lie about things you don’t understand.
Confusion leads to doubt, which leads to disillusionment, which leads to disbelief.

What? What did I lie about?

It is a tale of trysts and a game of graciousness. It is a stronghold of sanity and a marvel of madness. It is a congregation of civility in a bastion of barbarity Aion US CD-Key. It is a derailment of discussion in an arrangement of anarchy. It is an enigma of energy led by a legion of lethargy. It is an influx of idiocy and a gathering of genius. It is a freak of flaws and the paragon of perfection. It is the Internet, and I love it. buy wow gold

Thanks everybody. So if I do chose to pursue RCIA, I can keep admiring Thomas Jefferson, the Founders, and such and be a good Catholic? That’s what I’ve drawn from the resources you all have given me, so thank you. I think I’ll be sticking around here.
You most certainly can.

One suggestion which is a side note: drop the term American Catholic. In the English language the adjective is always stronger than the noun. Our Catholicism should not be modified by our being American. An accurate term is Catholic American, as our being American can be, and most certainly should be, affected by our Catholicism.

This seems backwards to many when just the words are used, so we don’t hear Catholic American very often, we unfortunately hear/use the words American Catholic way too often.
Just bringing up one of my pet peeves, which you inadvertently struck with the title of the thread.

Yes, admire them for their good achievements – and admire our country also for its goodness which is abundant. There have been many, very holy Catholic Americans who loved our country also.

I think I know what site you stumbled on. They’re a dissident group in the first place. They will sometimes attack Pope Benedict with the same kind of self-righteousness.

You’ll find that CAF offers much more reliable information – and more encouragement for your journey. I hope you’ll continue to discover the beauty and truth of the Catholic Faith.

You may have stumbled on an anti abortion catholic site and I can understand why they may blame the American Ideal of personal freedom to have been the driving motor and maintaining credo that keeps abortion legal in the Usa. I am anti-abortion but that doesnt mean I blame america. Neither does the Catholic Church. The great and worst thing about the internet is there is no filters anyone can get their opinions there no matter how stupid so we have to use our brains when we see stuff and try to find the balanced sensable view. 😃
