Thank you Brother for your great answer. I got a little bit confused when you said:“recollection”. I thought: does he mean, recollection of our sins or recollection of the misteries? I do believe, it involves both of them. When we say the “our Father” we are remembering our sins when we are trying to forgive some offenses against us. Anyway, each prayer is so beautiful and meaningful when it is prayed with all our heart and mind! It is true that when you pray at the church with other parishioners, it seems that they are praying in a rush, without even really thinking or feeling what they are saying. When we pray it with full concentration and with devotion, each sentence we speak comes out differently, with a different feeling. It is incredible how something that to the simple eye looks and sound repetitive, it is not when you pray it with full devotion and mediation. It was good that you mentioned that sometimes there are some intrusive thoughts not related to the misteries but about the people we love or care about. Rosary is like our daily bread that nourishes our souls, it brings a great sense of peace. It is true to some people kiss the rosary, i am one of them and i kiss it usually at the end of my prayers, sending a kiss to our Lord with my heart full of different emotions towards Him.
