I was looking at Sharia laws concerning custody and the mother and the mother’s side of the family are first on the list, then the fathers, then it goes down a huge list depending on circumstances and the sex of the child.

Well, then there is this caveat. m13.2 (a) uprightness and that is defined in o24.4. All a father has to do is say the mother is corrupt and it can be as slight as her not doing the salat. And with the laws skewed in favor of the man, the woman has little to no rights. If a foolish non-muslim marries a muslim man then that foolish person will lose custody. I say foolish because too many non-muslims don’t even have a clue as to what islam is when they marry muslim men.

There is such a thing as ‘love jihad’ in India. And also in the West. The church warns of the love jihad in india and is discussed a bit here in this article.. The Catholic church warned of it here.
Oh my, I applaud you for linking this article maybe it will help others to see what is happening…

thank you & God Bless you

Qwerk, you do not know how many minds you have enlightnened with. You know, now I have a reason to oppose Non-Muslim women marrying Muslim men who have no idea of what they are getting into. God bless you for informing us.

You’re welcome. It is like there is a disconnect between what we are told by muslims concerning a number of things in islam vs reality. Political islam dot com has a number of bulletins they come out monthly concerning not only the abuse of women in islam, but the abuse of Jews, the abuse of Christians, and other things.

I think we are going to find a growing number of stories in our Western countries that mimic the love jihad in India. Many cases the women are just lied to but I am thinking that as time goes by we will read about more and more stories of anguish from women who were able to leave. The number of stories are growing.

I did some more searches and found these things:

Women said they were tricked into marrying muslim men (Australia) (you have to scroll down for the article)

U.K.: 15-year-old Pakistani girl tricked into marriage, forced into prostitution by mother-in-law The article goes into things that are against the law of the land, but not against Sharia.

We need to realize that when we talk about laws and when the muslims talk about laws they could be talking sharia. It is like the slide back and forth and don’t care if we realize it or not.

This article I found very interesting: When Christian Women Marry Muslim Men
Why would an American woman marry a Muslim man and convert to his religion and way of life?
The answer might surprise you: She could have been tricked into conversion. And the result might be intense physical and emotional abuse.
In growing numbers, women all over the United States are marrying Muslim men from other countries. Many find themselves trapped in a nightmare of oppression, abuse and control, according to W.L. Cati, founder of Zennah Ministries, an organization that reaches out to women married to Muslims.
We need to keep in mind that the movie, Not Without My Daughter, was a true tale. Sally Field played a women who was tricked into going to the Middle East and then was held there against her will with her kid, and she had to secretly flee and take her kid in a dangerous situation was a true story. The family of the husband were complicit in her and her daughter’s kidnapping too. I call it a kidnapping even though she went there on her own because she had no idea that she would be detained and not allowed to leave.
