Have you read the book “Saints” by Orson Scott Card? It’s a fictionalized biography/accounting of the life of early LDS in the city of Navou and of Joseph Smith.
Orson Scott Card is a Mormon sci fi writer. His character of Joseph Smith is not painted in a very good light. He comes off as a liar and somewhat of a scoundrel. Now, Card is a pretty faithful Mormon. Here he is writing these accounts of the man that started his religion, and Card writes this character as a less than appealing person.
So I wonder, how do you feel about this? Is this the way Joseph Smith is seen by the LDS? Or is Card doing something almost blasphemous in this book?
