I understand that indulgences are about remitting the temporal punishment due for sins forgiven in confession. If I make use of indulgences the first time, then which temporal punishment is remitted, the one which is due for sins forgiven in the last confession (the confession which is one of the constituting elements of the indulgence) or all temporal punishment during my life?

With a plenary indulgence is it all temporal punishment, otherwise it is not specific.

A plenary indulgence, done correctly, remits all temporal punishment for all sins that have been absolved, up to the time of the indulgence. A partial indulgence would remit part of the total temporal punishment. We don’t know which part or how much.

The remission is not limited to just the sins from the confession associated with the indulgence.

One cannot obtain an indulgence to remit temporal punishment for future sins or unabsolved sins.
