If a Catholic man who was never married, marrys a divorced Episcopalean. What are the consequences they will face? What if both continue to practice their individual Religions?
The Catholic is **obligated **to marry in the Catholic form or receive dispensation to marry a non-Catholic outside Catholic form in the non-Catholic’s church. A Catholic must also have permission to marry a non-Catholic.If a Catholic man who was never married, marrys a divorced Episcopalean. What are the consequences they will face? What if both continue to practice their individual Religions?
No. You misunderstand. The “annulment” in the Episcopal church is irrelevant. It has NO bearing on the validity of the marriage at all. The EC has no authority to declare a marriage null. Only the Catholic Church does.So if the Catholic shows proof that the marriage was annuled under the Episcopalean Church and presents this to the Catholic Tribunal and it is approved. Then the Catholic can marry in the Catholic Church?
It needs to be declared null by the Catholic Church no matter WHO the Episcopalian was married to.If the prior marriage of the Espiscopalean was to a Catholic man in the Catholic Church does this marriage need to be annuled in the Catholic church
