What does scripture mean by a “New Heaven and a New Earth” confusing to me.
 
We know that the universe will be transformed and that the just will reign with Christ in their resurrected (glorified) bodies after the final judgement. As for the mechanics or details of this process it is a mystery.
 
Do not be dismayed. I lost my son in the war in Afghanistan. Jesus gives me the hope to one day, I will get to see my son again. I am assured by God Himself to hold Him to His Word. My son partook of the body of Christ “thank God” (before entering the battle field )In faith with the promise of eternal life. There Will be a new heaven and new earth, when I will see my son again. this I know, because my son came to visit me in a dream, and confirmed to me that, although I will not remember all that we talked about in my visit with him during a dream, he assured me that all will be well according to God’s will.

I look in hope and faith to that new heaven and earth when God makes all things new Amen.
