No real change in the situation. Silver and Fluffy will still attack Pumpkin if I am not supervising them. I spend the time from getting out of bed to going to work interacting with Silver and Fluffy. The time from Midnight (when I get home from work) to 2 or 3 AM is spent with Pumpkin in his room. This is also when I do my 2 hours of prayers and devotions. Pumpkin bunts my legs as I pet him with my free hand. At times I take a break, and we play with DA BIRD.

Pumpkin’s favourite sleeping and resting place is still the heated bed at the bedroom window. On Saturdays and Sundays, my days off, I often see him with the afternoon sun on his back, stomach on the heated bed, and looking sooooo serene. Cats understand the importance of naps. Other times he is alert and watches the birds flying outside his window. He seems to be content with his life, although I still hope to somehow get the other two cats to accept him.

Not much else to report. The USPS muddles through, one day at a time. I stay sober in AA, and attend the Noon meetings six days a week, if possable. Just for today, I am reminded of what St. Francis de Sales had to say…“A devout life is a lovely, a pleasent, and a happy life.” Indeed.👍

Congratulations on your continuing sobriety and your faithfulness to AA meetings. Thanks be to God and to your good intentions and efforts…And animals are indeed a comfort, a consuming diversion, and a joy. And St Francis de Sales was (and is) a great realistic and deeply spiritual director. Bless you! 🙂
