I hope this is the place to put this once since it could go in a number of places.
In another forum I belong to, a member posted part of a Easter Homily to be given this Sunday. In that homily, the Pastor reference the Pope John Paul II’s Wednesday General Audience for Jan 12, 2005 ( Zenit link ). The specific quote from the article is:
“The joy stems from the fact that Satan, the ancient adversary, who stood in the heavenly court as ‘accuser of our brothers’ (12:10), as we see him in the Book of Job (see 1:6-11; 2:4-5), was ‘cast out’ from heaven and therefore no longer has great power. He knows that ‘he has but a short time’ (12:12), **because history is about to undergo a radical change of liberation from evil and that is why he reacts ‘in great fury’ **I know it is not prudent to speculate about future events (especially when it involves the battle of good and evil), but this one really caught my eye.
