What was written in your first post doesn’t really match the thread title so I’ll address the tread title.

A rational for the existence Jesus is that it is a historical fact attested to by every reputable scholar who has honestly studied the evidence.
Sure it does haha. I was looking for help constructing a rational argument for Jesus in the first post but got drawn offsides. I think I gave a rebuttal for the laws of thermodynamics nay sayers but I need to do more research. Also, I’m going to study those links about the Priest who is a physics whiz as I’m sure that’ll be a very interesting read.

Good Afternoon Brothers and Sisters,

I’ve been discussing philosophy with some atheist/agnostic associates of mine and I’ve been trying to make a rational case for both the existence of God and that Jesus Christ is in fact God…
My favorite avenue of argument is demonstrating God’s existence by Cosmological and Ontological arguments (preferably the latter as it is widely misunderstood), follow it up with condensed versions of St. Anselm’s arguments in Cur Deus Homo for Christ’s coming, then end it with arguments as to why agnosticism and atheism have (contrary to popular opinion) burdens of proof since they make truth claims.

In my opinion, this approach gives strong evidence for the reasonableness of Christianity without the uncertainty of history and empirical inquiry (which is better left to those with better common sense and maturity) and then shows that there is no hiding in agnosticism because of doubts. Ultimately I think it comes down to their faith and will but this can at least make that choice easier for them.
