Is it a sin to have a crush on a nun? Sorry for asking, but I was just wondering…

to have affection for or attraction to a nun, or anyone else, is not sinful, and really there’s nothing abnormal about that, since they are still human with their attractive qualities, it is natural.
but it is sinful to think of or desire a nun or anyone else in an impure way, but the only difference with thinking or desiring lustfully of a person consecrated to God, such as a nun, brother, or priest, is that then the sin becomes sacrilegious…so it is indeed something to be careful with, and i would say the best thing you can do to avoid turning this mere attraction into something bigger, is just to steer clear of her, or try not looking at or talking with her(whether you are asking for yourself or someone else)

It’s not such a weird question. I really struggle with lust. There’s so much of it in me that when I die my corpse is going to be hazardous waste. So, it’s kind of like I’m an expert on this.

I see that you’re an Eastern Catholic, so I don’t know if I can recommend the Rosary, but it sure helps me. Another thing I’ve learned is that when I have inappropriate feelings toward a woman I pray for her, specifically for her chastity. That’s critical, I think, because when we get in this predicament our pride often leads us into almost subconsciously hoping that the woman in question has the same feelings in our direction.

One thing I would not do is avoid her or treat her in any manner that might give her the impression that you don’t like her. You shouldn’t be lusting after her, but you should love her. Remember, the problem is yours not hers, so she doesn’t deserve to be treated like this situation is her fault.

Finally, remember that sin resides in the will, not the feelings. Temptations will come, but what you will to do determines whether you’re sinning or not.
 
I believe it is natural to be attracted to holy people. Just don’t act on this attraction. Instead, pray for them and support them.

I also am attracted to women that dress with dignity. I am soooo tired of seeing females parading in public wearing tights with no covering. It is frankly no longer attractive.

I’m not sure I was ever in the crush proper. I think it might’ve just been a feeling that might develop…
