Hello everyone! I’m Regina Wood, mother of twelve children, author, and a lifelong practicing Catholic. I was inspired to write an apologetic to “Once a Catholic” and my book covers the teachings and practices of the Catholic faith in a very easy to read format. The book is scripturally sound and has been well accepted by people from all denominations.

I’m happy to share this book with you and pray that the message will challenge your heart, mind and soul.

Here is a link to my book:

More about my book (from the cover):
A Reply to Once a Catholic is a religious guide that attempts to present basic concepts of the Catholic Faith in order to assist the reader in comprehending the primary ideologies of this sometimes-enigmatic religion.

It confronts topics on the forefront of modern theological debate. Controversial issues such as divorce, confession, and biblical authorship are handled in the core of well-researched text. Serene illustrations merged with clear language assist in crystallizing my personal beliefs in order to support each chapter.

The text closes with a friendly note to the reader and a list of further biblical readings. A Reply to Once a Catholic provides a thoughtful guide for those individuals who may have lapsed in their Catholic faith, or for those who may be searching and interested in learning about the Catholic Faith.

Thanks, sounds good. I hope people buy a lot of copies:

Reply to Once a Catholic by Regina Wood

This seems to be a reply (although the description is not clear) to Once a Catholic by Tony Coffey, although I don’t have the book I am aware of it having seen it on many an anti-Catholic book and mailing lists (Dave Hunt “Berean Call” for one).

Another great reply book is Gary Michuta’s

The Gospel According to James McCarthy

which is a reply to Gospel According to Rome which is probably more popular than Coffey’s book. Unfortunately it appears Gary’s book is out of print, and/or Grotto’s Press his publisher is not promoting it anymore since it doesn’t appear on their site. They are promoting his newer book Why Catholic Bibles Are Bigger? on the OT canon.

Another book I’d like to see replied to, with background information on the contributors is

Far From Rome, Near To God

I have the book and some of the stories in there are just not believable and seem to be written by Protestant fundamentalists. I’d like someone to do a nice job on that one (maybe already been done).

The more orthodox reply books out there the better. Good job! 👍
