I am begging for a Marriage prayer. Please pray for me. My marriage has been in jeopardy and my wife is hurt. I ask her to forgive me for a past indiscretion prior to our marriage. It appears she is lost and I don’t know if she will forgive and allow us to love again etc.
I love her so much and I prayer we can rebuild gain trust again and mover forward with our union. I raised my step son since 6 months and he is soon 5 yrs old. We came to far to split. I hope she can fall back in love with me and do t let no one enter ur life and cloud her mind. I beg for reconciliation. Please pray for me and us. We have not been passionate, she has been distance and it is hard for me not to show her love or kind words. However it appears she is not coming around. I feel I am just waiting around until she decides if she can forgive and give me another chance . It makes me feel sick. I beg God please touch her heart. Her sould…soften it for me. Please pray for me. AMEN.

Praying for you and your wife to use this pain to pull your marriage together rather than apart.

(From a possible marriage text: 1 John 4: 7-12)
“Beloved, let us love one another because love is of God;
everyone who loves is begotten of God and has knowledge of God.
The one without love has known nothing of God, for God is love.
God’s love wa revealed in our midst in this way:
he sent his only Son to the world that we might have life through him.
Love, then, consists in this: not that we have loved God,
but that he has loved us and sent his Son as an offering for our sins.
Beloved, if God has loved us so, we must have the same love for one another.
No one has ever seen God.
Yet, if we love one another, God dwells in us,
and his love is brought to perfection in us.”

Nowhere are we told that the road will be easy. But, if we work together, we become stronger at loving one another.

My prayers will continue

Praying for the intentions of your marriage.

I would strongly suggest that you get a marriage counselor.

The area here has Catholic Counseling Services; I would suspect your diocese has something similar. If they are not within reasonable driving distance, then look next for Lutheran Counseling Services, as they tend to have good pro-marriage counselors.

We all make choices, and we all get to reap the rewards. It will be up to the both of you as to how you move forward. Don’t plan on doing this alone without outside help, and don’t presume that you can just go to a priest and get adequate marriage counseling. Some are good, some are beyond terrible, and the majority of them are simply not trained in what you need.

God bless.

I also strongly recommend that you consider Retrouvaille. This is an organization that works to help couples whose marriage is in trouble. From what I understand, they can do wonders for difficult marriages and many people are able to save their marriages through the support of this program.

Stay strong, let her know you will fight for her and your family, to keep it together. Rest in the knowledge that God will make it all come out for the best, no matter what happens.

Praying for you, and your wife.
