It is not like me to ask for prayers like this, but…

I have been suffering from depression and anxiety since 2003. I am in a bad spot right now and could really use some prayers. Thank you so much.

I have Schizotypal Disorder.
I also have paranoia but not as bad as
it was at first. I will definitely pray for you.
Anxiety is the worst symptom; in my book.

I pray that whatever led you to ask for prayer, that God will work in you His healing mercies and Divine Plan. When God goes in to clean and dress our wounds, it hurts! But He knows us and when we are made whole and new in Jesus, we will truly know His Joy.

I’m coming around after a pretty bad few weeks in the Depths myself. The prayer and encouragement I got here has helped pull me through. I know you will get many responses and I hope we lift you up as we comfort with the comfort God has given us.

Jesus, we trust in You!
 
Loving God You know the causes of kib’s depression and anxiety, and that range of things that can help kib to heal and to begin to flourish, and for kib to be able to encourage others who are suffering in the same way

“Glory be to Him whose power, working in us, can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine; glory be to Him from generation to generation in the Church and in Christ Jesus for ever and ever. Amen.” [Ephesians 3: 14-21]

The following poem “But” was written by a Divine Word Missionary, inspiring us to love of others, even in the smallest gestures of human kindness.

It was only a sunny smile,
And little it cost in the giving;
But it scattered the night
Like morning light,
And made the day worth living.
Through life’s dark warp a woof it wove
In shining colours of hope and love;
And the angels smiled as they watched above,
Yet little it cost in the giving.

Dear Lord You know the heart of our friend kib and You know his fears and worries.Please grant that he may be able to overcome feelings of anxiety.I myself have suffered recently with panic attacks and know so well the awful dread it fills one with.Please Lord grant healing to kib that he will be healed from anxiety and the things he needs in his life are met.Thankyou Lord for hearing our prayers Amen

Praying for you kib, and you too DaniWelshMac, may our blessed Lord watch over you and bring you peace of mind.

I also suffer from depression, which is quite bad at the moment, so your posts touched a nerve with me.

I am praying for all of you tonight, God bless you all and your kind hearts.
 
I, too, have been suffering with depression and anxiety off and on since 1999. I recently got placed on medication again because of a relapse and it’s not working like it should. I’ll pray for you. Please pray for me!

Lord, our God,
you graciously chose St. Dymphna
as patroness of those afflicted with mental
and nervous disorders.
She is thus an inspiration
and a symbol of charity
to the thousands who ask her intercession.

Please grant, Lord,
through the prayers of this pure youthful martyr,
relief and consolation to all suffering such trials,
and especially those for whom we pray.

We beg You, Lord,
to hear the prayers of St. Dymphna on our behalf.
Grant all those for whom we pray
patience in their sufferings
and resignation to Your divine will.
Please fill them with hope,
and grant them the relief and cure they so much desire.

Lord Jesus Christ,
You have willed that St. Dymphna
should be invoked by thousands of
clients as the patroness of nervous
and mental disease and have brought
it about that her interest in these
patients should be an inspiration to
and an ideal of charity throughout the world.
Grant that, through the prayers of this
youthful martyr of purity, those who suffer
from nervous and mental illness everywhere
on earth may be helped and consoled.
We recommend to You in particular kib.
Be pleased to hear the prayers of St. Dymphna
and of Your Blessed Mother. Give those whom
We recommend the patience to bear with their
affliction and resignation to do Your divine will.
Give them the consolation they need and

You are a child of God. You have a job to do here. Please begin to reach out to others through the pain you are feeling right now. We are at the other end reaching toward you. God hears all of us. You will be delivered. Pray now. He will give you peace. God’s love to you is issued by the Angels and they are with you right now. Be still and become aware of them. St. Rapheal the Archangel, “medicine of God”, pour over kib the graces and peace from Jesus and grant that kib may be refreshed and renewed. Amen
