Is it a requirement of each Catholic diocese that a Saturday Vigil Mass or a Sunday Mass be televised for shut-ins?

If it is the diocese in Colorado don’t do it. Besides EWTN the only mass I have seen recently was on ION (which I don’t get anymore) from Chicago. KWGN in Denver use to but it has been many years since they have had one.

Found this
My Sunday Mass

No of course not! Why would it? Televised mass does not qualify for fulfilling the obligation.
Also since many Catholics worldwide don’t have tvs then why would this matter?

In my opinion this is a silly question.

One could always go online. Ewtn, YouTube, etc to see a mass at any time of the day or night. Vsp one would always be “available” to view, though I’m still not sure how important this is…

Not sure if it is a requirement (I would doubt that it is), but I know there are A LOT of sick and/or elderly people who are sustained by being able to watch Mass or say a Rosary with others through televised Catholic stations.

our diocese offers a televised Mass, but I don’t think it is a requirement.

My favorite, regularly-streamed Sunday Mass is the one from the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the University of Notre Dame campus at South Bend, Indiana available online at CatholicTV.com, link
