A revert's prayer

This simple prayer comes from St Bernard of Clairvaux. When I read it it seemed so appropriate for me, a revert.

I beg You to receive the offering of the years left to me. Do not despise O my God this heart , which is contrite and humble, because of all the years that I have spent so foolishly.

Yinekka… I am one of these, of whom Trishie spoke. I was away from the Church for 10 years. And I often worry about all that time I wasted. So… I humbly thank you, for sharing this beautiful prayer. I will add it to my favorites. God bless you.

That’s a great prayer! It ranks with St Augustine’s lament,“Late have I loved You”.
