First, let me start off by saying that I have not been th ebest husband. I have been weak in my faith and reluctant to take my role as a husband until now.
For the longest time this maifested in low self esteem (me) and mistrust from her. No we have two kids and about to divorce because of something I did - again.
A little while back I became interested in righting myself with the Church in order to experience the faith in full. However, when I told her this she became angry and threatend divorce then. We went no further because I told her that I would not force the issue and that I would practice quietly and not even let my little one’s know.
Obviously I have come to realize that this was a grave error on my part and now have to make that decision again. Do I practice my faith alone and only outside of the house - thus perserving the family unit? Or do I continue with the divorce and fight for my kids (she wants to leave the state and has access to a lawyer that apparently will work pro bono)?
I am just looking for someone elses insight. If we were to stay together she would not willingly convalidate the marriage so that wouold leave me with Radical Sanation as the only option to validate the marriage but do I want this?
Thanks to anyone.
