Too often, people are told to be chase for instance for the sake of their future spouses. But whatever we do, we should do it for God–for the greater glory of God!

So she is very right in saying that her future husband should focus on preserving his heart for God and not for her.

The letter is nice and I have given her 50 points (50/100). I am sure there are other things her future husband would probably consider: for instance, what the eye perceives.
 
As a young male, I find this inspiring and hopeful. Makes me want to write something like this for my future wife, too!
 
Thanks for posting about my blog! I went with the “white horse” idea because I find that it speaks to a lot of people, even if it is a metaphor that gets overused.
Kelvinf, what do you mean by, “I am sure there are other things her future husband would probably consider: for instance, what the eye perceives.”? I’m sure there are lots of things he would consider, and there is no way to fit them all in one letter! 🙂
 
Well, I’m definitely doing something like this. Very cool.

I think he meant that it would take a rare man to reciprocate in kind to what you’ve written; many men are content to stop at outward appearance (“what the eye perceives”) without looking at the dispositions beneath (which is what your blog post is about.)

I just wrote one today too coincidently and a prayer for him. It was refreshing and the best thing I’ve done in a while. Please come into my life, future spouse – according to God’s will – when the time is right!

Very well interpreted! I think that’s the fact about certain guys or most guys.

That’s why I gave only 50/100. Man, being a Catholic and being very engaged in the Catholic community are wonderful qualities! In my area, to even come across a young Catholic in the first place is a blessing. LOL

But the truth is, in the end, most guys would make their decision to chase or not to based on physically appearance. E.g. The height of the person etc 🙂

I get the initial physical attraction and making that the gauge of whether or not to talk to a lady, but I would hope that the decision to chase or not chase would be based on more than that - there is so much more to a person than their physical appearance! (Perhaps that is what separates the boys from the men?) 🙂

You wanna marry someone you are attracted to, wouldn’t you?

It could be based purely on personality or on personality and physical appearance.

I am not sure whether it’s a matter of being a man, boy, girl or woman. 🤷 All these category of people do consider physical attraction to a certain degree. The question is how much of physical attraction matters? I don’t know; and sometimes it’s very, very hard to say. But what I know for sure is that it matters.
