A priest was saying that the talents are spiritual abilities. And not to be confused with natural abilities.

What do you believe about the parable of the talents?
What have you discovered?

t’s about evangelization, sharing the faith, defending the faith IF you know it well, and promoting the faith to nonbelievers with accurate info when they ask you things.

Some people are content to let the priests do the heavy lifting, It’s for all of us to do.

I see a talent as being any God-given gift you have.

Even if it’s a natural ability, like you’re a great public speaker or a wonderful softball player, you should think about how you can use that ability for the glory of God.
It may be as simple as practicing really good sportsmanship, or as complicated as becoming an evangelist or running prayer groups for your teammates or whatever.
It’s up to you to figure it out.

God-given gifts and abilities must be used and invested in benefitting others because at the end of our lives God will demand an account of what we did with them.

I heard a priest give a homily on the loaves and fishes that said there was no miracle, it was just about people sharing.

Not every homily is perfect, some are downright odd.

I associate the talents with the sufficient grace that God gives each of us.

It’s about the fact that we’re supposed to “invest” the grace, the gifts, given us and even increase them, grace leading to even more grace as we help, with our cooperation, advance the Kingdom of God within ourselves and within our world. Our justice, according to Trent, should actually grow as we respond to God, continuously calling us onward.
