(I would say that Christ did not fear the Cross but that he desired to avoid it.
But why did He desire to avoid it? Why did He sweat, as though blood was ensuing from His Body?

Could this not have been Revealed in the parable of Lazarus and the rich man?:
31 And he said to him: If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they believe, if one rise again from the dead. (St. Luke 16)
Compare with St. John 3:14-21 and 1:1-14–though God Loved the world so much that He Gave His Only Begotten Son as the means to Rescue it… as the prophet warned, the world would not heed God’s Call:
16 But not all the Israelites accepted the good news. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?”[h] 17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ. 18 But I ask: Did they not hear? Of course they did: (Romans 10)

So we alone didn’t suffer the outcome of sin, but everything else did too.
Consider too what is Revealed in Scriptures:
13 And every creature, which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them: I heard all saying: To him that sitteth on the throne, and to the Lamb, benediction, and honour, and glory, and power, for ever and ever.
