A theology teacher friend

My friend teaches theology at a Catholic high school and is the only one who loves (and doesn’t roll his eyes) the pope, the magestirium, and the Catholic Church. He’s trying to bring orthodoxy to his class and department but is being met with a lot of objections and criticism from the other Theology staff (including religious sisters). He’s trying to bring TOB for teens to the classroom, but the other members of his department just roll their eyes because of the person who taught TOB (JPII). Please pray that he can reach out to the students and parents and have them vocally support orthodoxy being brought back to the school. I know that this isn’t an uncommon problem in Catholic High Schools across the nation. Also, please pray for the students who are not being taught the Truth by their other Theology teachers
 
Lord, lead this teacher to impart your words to students, coworkers, and anyone he comes in contact with.

I understand the pain and frustration of this teacher. May God’s strength help this person persevere in the face of opposition. May God’s grace make this person an instrument of Christian charity in this struggle. May God’s grace make this person the instrument of conversion for those that oppose the truth through deliberate acts or through ignorance. Let the Holy Spirit reign. Amen.

Its a tragedy that secularism has not only crept into every corner of society at large, but has made off with all of our Catholic institutions: schools, hospitals and charities. You friend faces a discouraging and uphill battle, and I will pray for his success. In the meantime, I always use this quote in situations like this :The truth is true whether everyone believes it or no one does.
