I’m going to say the possibility is in the passion and death of Jesus Christ and then fulfilled in His resurrection.

Like Archbishop Sheen would often say; There can be No Easter without first having to undergo a Good Friday in our lives.

The TRUTH of the Cross, the Truth of Good Friday & the
Crucifixion is that without the Cross there is NO crown. Without
Good Friday there can be NO Easter Sunday. If the world considers
Jesus Christ and His Crucifixion folly and if it sees our FAITH as
FOOLISH, then we have nothing to fear for our destiny and our final
home is NOT this world but the other world of Heaven, where all the
Fools of God spend eternity before the Majesty of God, Who in His
folly created, REDEEMED and sanctified us. The so-called wisdom of
man laughed at the Wright brothers when they began their journey
into the air. Who laughs now that more Americans travel by plane
each year than by bus or train? The world ignores Christ and His
Church. It will certainly laugh at us. Yet, the world will not
and CAN NOT save us from our sins, ONLY the Cross of Christ. “Take
up your Cross and follow Me,” says the Lord. Better to be taken as
a fool and enter Heaven than to be tought wise and suffer for
eternity. The choice is ours and has always been. Lift high the
Cross! Kiss the Crucifix of Christ and embrace it with LOVE!

I find mine in the Incarnation of Our Lord and from there my faith is reaffirmed and strengthened by His Passion and Resurrection.

Answer: Both!!!

The Resurrection is not possible without the death and a death without a resurrection accomplished nothing. So the answer MUST be Both. The only variable is the degree of “Passion” involved.

ones salvation is ongoing.and Im inclined to say the ressurection of Christ in that on the third day he rose… what we say in our creeds each week. The passion of death of Christ leads to his ressurection. in the creed it covers ressurrection of death which does confuse me a little in that the way it is written is suggests we are all ressurrected. Is that when we reach our salvation. It is something I am thinking out however to approach the priest when I know a little bit more than just saying ressurrections of our death, and also he is liable to give me a book to read and I want to make sure am ‘ready’ to read it because last one he gave when I asked a question was challenging in itself.

It be a trick question for some but for me there isn’t any trick in so much as, well, when does our salvation actually take place anyways… when are we saved? Is that the moment we enter heaven?

Salvation from death… in the Passion and Death of Christ, insofar as that act paid the wages of sin and fulfilled the old covenant requirements for sacrifice… however, restoral to new life is through the resurrection, so it would be accurate to say that the FULNESS of salvation is found only in both acting together (as they were obviously meant to be).
