A "true leading example" of Jesus church

Hi all,

I wanted to let everyone know that I thank God for people like Mark a for being an example of a Christ follower that we all should take note.

Not only did he acknowledge our similiar beliefs in a thread…

Jesus asked for us to be united.

but also our weakness

You’re right, and all us Trinitarians know it.
But it must be part of my fallen nature

But then Mark did something I did not expect, He trusted me that I believe in the same God, the same Jesus as he does and he
asked me

I have posted in a lot of threads in this community.
Philthy is one person that, even though we have different beliefs, I could not help but notice, not only the faith he has in his belief but also being able to recognize my faith in what I believe in which I very much appreciate …

You seem like a nice, well intentioned person who is honoring God the best way you know how.

It is refreshing to meet someone like Philthy who not only is willing to talk out our differences, but will not hesitate to let it be known in the areas we do agree.

Philthy over everything else is, whenever there was a “potential heated moment” in our conversation did not hesitate to admit He made a mistake and apologize for it.

I believe it is one of the important values of a christian.

That was not a fair thing to claim. Judgement, in such a context, refers to a determination of someones eternal destiny. I have already made it clear that I dont judge anyone’s eternal status - god handles that without any (name removed by moderator)ut from me

Philthy exercised God’s command in the bible…

I believe if we are going to become the one united church in which Jesus Christ built, we need to see our apprectiate and value who and what we believe more so than discuss and sometimes argue over our differences. God sent me here to illustrate that with Philthy and Mark as I first mentioned.

In closing, from the the responses you all have given me, even though we have our differences, in the threads I started or posted in, I want to thank all of you for your warm welcome and prayers.

There have been a couple “heated” conversations, but it is all good. It is a testiment and an admiration of how strong everyone’s faith is in this community.

I just went through and episode where I was cast as a trouble maker here. Some unfortunate deleting (not on my part) left me holding the bag and I took all the blame for an exchange that turned ugly.

This lead me to question myself. Was I only making trouble?

Then I went back through all my posts. The overwhelming majority of them were (thank God) very eucamenical in nature and I sighed a breath of relief.

Of course, I cannot ever explain away the times I became defensive, but my words themselves vindicated me. Everybody get’s caught off guard every once in a while and things are said out of anger and some even out of righteous indignation.

I think everybody should look back into their posts to see where they could’ve done a better job of exchanging their beleifs and I definately don’t think that anybody should take it upon themselves to be the inquisitors of any other member on this board based on what they read because sometimes, not all that has transpired is still reflected in the thread.

There are some here who’ll call me uncharitable both Catholic and Protestants. Thank God there are many more who’ve been very gracious to me and have thanked me for my words. If it wasnt for them, I don’t think I would’ve come back (and that would’nt have reflected upon CAF itself, but upon some of the members).

But it’s definately a great idea for us all to reflect on our own words before we become overly defensive (as I have been notoriously guilty for having been myself ).

I believe one of the values of a true Christian in Christ is for one to have the strength to admit he or she was wrong and offers a sincere apology. I like to recognize two people who have done just that.

I have been saying for a long, long time now: CAF is the best place I know of in the 'net to meet other Christians.
We may get a bit emotional at times, but that is because we feel passionately about Our Lord…and isn’t that a good thing??

hi all using whatis…'s example of placing one’s self in the the words of the gospel.i do the same… the passion of our Lord Jesus Christ by fbl9…pontius pilate order Him to be scourged so whatis tied Him to the post while FB whipped him. next fb and wahtis crowned Jesus with a crown of thorns spitting on Him and taunting Him. then we forced Jesus to carry his cross to Calvary.Grabbing Jesus’s arm whatis strected it out while fb nailed the spike through His flesh.doing the same to His feet and other hand.after standing Him up to die we sat down to gamble for His-one-piece tunic,while His own dear mother watched and weeped.looking down at us with the utmost mercy our Lord says forgive them Father for they know not what they do.by our sins we have done this personally to our Lord. may the Lord’s peace be with you all.
