On December 24th in the morning, we celebrate a Mass of Remembrance for the dearly departed who will not be with us this Christmas. This year, I have added a little note to our intentions,

For the souls of relatives and friends of CAF members

The mass will be the Extraordinary Form. It will be our last EF for 2013. I thought it would be fitting to allow it as a special sign of affection for my friends on TC Forum.

Personally, I thank you for your kindness to me. Please keep me in your prayers. But if you forget to pray for me, please remember the unborn children, their parents, the terminally ill and the immigrant poor whom our brothers have the honor to serve. They need your prayers. They need to know that they are loved and wanted.

PAX ET BONUM

Pace e bene, fratello.

Thank you for the beautiful gesture. 🙂

Buon Natale!!!

Thank you Bro.

My beloved step-father, farmer to the very tips of his soul, is in hospice care with advanced Alzheimers. We didnt think he would make Christmas. He will, but not by much.

We wait in vigil…

Thank you for your wonderful intention. Mom died on the 26th of December 2008. There is always sadness at this time of the year for me.

Again, thank you.

Thanks!

And, I’ll start a prayer for you and your intentions here, as well, now.

Hail Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blest is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

What is his first name?

I will ask St. Francis to take it to the creche himself.

You do know that the first creche as we know it is a “Franciscan novelty” started by our Seraphic Father?

On the night that he celebrated Christmas at Greccio, as he approached the empty crib, to everyone’s surprise, a child cooed in his arms and our Holy Father presented the intentions of the order and the laity around him, in person, to the little God-child.

I cannot promise happiness for your step-father in this life. But I know that our Seraphic Father can light the way into the next where the mind will be clear and all things will be known to him.

You see, a Seraph is a being burning with love. Nothing is closer to God’s throne than a Seraph. When the Church named Francis the Seraphic Father, it was because of his love for God and love for man. His love burns and lights the way for those on the journey to Christ.

Let’s ask the Seraphic Father for your step-daddy. I know that if we ask him to do so, he will light his way to the crib in Bethlehem. I promise you this. Brother Francis is everyone’s brother and one of Jesus’ closest friends.

The Immaculate has led her to her son’s crib. She is well.

There are three things that men cannot do.
  1. Give birth to a child
  2. Tell Jesus what to do (only person to do that was a woman)
  3. Clean a fridge.
There is a special garden inside of the King’s cloister. At the center of the garden there is a blue rose known as The Immaculate. Around her are all the other roses known simply as MOM.

Merry Christmas!

Thank you guys for giving us the creche and so many other wonderful Christmas traditions! God bless. 🙂

His name is Tom…

Thank you for your kindness. Have a lovely blessed Christmas. You and your brothers will be in my prayers tonight.

God bless you.

THANK YOU so very much!
have a Blessed Christmas too:thumbsup:

Thank you brother, may we all learn a little bit of Francis’ love this Christmas.
If all Catholics would listen to the Holy Father and bring a little more of St. Francis in to their life, the world would never know what hit them.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Merry Christmas, Brother JR. 🙂 I think we should be thanking you for your kindness instead of you thanking us. You have shown us a great example of humility, and I think we can all learn something from you. Through your example, I have learned to get rid of my pride, and because of that, I am much closer to God. I’ll be sure to pray for you.

Have a very Franciscan Christmas. 👍

Ben, BroJR’s example has had the same impact on me.
By his example and teaching, my own spiritual journey has gone thru something of a re-adjustment. 🙂

His presence here is and has been a great blessing to so many of us. 🙂

Merry Christmas everyone!
Joseph Stalin once wrote a letter in which he said,

“I committed a great error. My nightmare is to have the feeling that I’m lost in an ocean of blood from the innumerable victims. It is too late to return. To save our country, Russia, we would have needed men like [Saint] Francis of Assisi. With ten men like him we would have saved Russia.”

Bold is mine.

Whatever that was, can you teach it to me again. I struggle with pride 24/7. If they had a 12-step program for pride, I’d be the first member. 😊

Thank you Brother! I have been a Secular Franciscan since 1990, but moved here in 1991, and there is no Fraternity in my area. I really appreciate the prayers of my Franciscan Brothers! Add my husband to your prayers for the deceased, please. He died in 2011, in April. His name was “Jake”.

God keep you in the Seraphic blessings of our beloved St. Francis!
