A Woman Tells of Her Lifetime Burden of Shame and How It Has Been Lifted

This gives the grim story of a woman who had an abortion when she was 17. She lived for 40 years in silence with her great regret and self blame. “I never even talked with God about it.” But finally she asked God to forgive her. Then when the terrible story of an abortion doctor’s atrocities hit the news, it was like a fire was lit under her and she had to speak; she told her family and ended her silence over what she had done. “I take comfort in knowing I will be reunited with my baby in heaven.”

What a moving story. I know it was hard to write it. I’m glad she feels God’s forgiveness. I’m praying for all in situations like this… praying that they will choose LIFE for their babies…

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
