Well here’s the thing; the admittance of AA in Catholic parish halls could be interpreted as the church’s acknowledgement of the importance of a higher power and indirectly acknowledges the power of the postmodern thoughts around the relativism of God…if we can “design” our own “higher power”, then can we not create our own vision of God our creator? The church, by allowing these meetings in parish halls, allows that thinking.
If you want to argue the separation of these halls from the AA movement, then why do our parishes NOT allow any meetings that support abortion in our parish halls? Do you see where I am getting at?
