But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular (Maggie and her husband), and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you.

Dear God, give me courage,
for perhaps I lack it more than anything else.

I need courage before men against their threats
and against their seductions.

I need courage to bear unkindness,
mockery, contradiction.

I need courage to fight against the devil,
against terrors and troubles, temptations,
attractions, darkness and false lights,
against tears, depression, and above all fear.

I need Your help, dear God.

Strengthen me with Your love and Your grace.

Console me with Your blessed Presence
and grant me the courage to persevere
until I am with You forever in heaven.

Kaylynn,

Far too many of us here do not have the marriages that we ought to according to God’s plan … or my understanding of His plan. Ideally both partners should be helping the other to heaven.

Here’s a thought that occurred to me this week which I realized I should apply to my marriage. We must humbly accept all events that come our way, from bad weather to a new job to marriage problems. EVERYTHING either comes from God or is allowed by God for the good of our immortal souls. In the here-after we may know why, but here and now we can take comfort knowing that our Lord and Saviour is always ‘working all things unto good for those who love him’. (Paraphrase.)

I can relate to some degree as my 30 year marriage, too, is a shambles. (We live under the same roof but haven’t been remotely ‘married’ this century.)

Sweet heart, you are loved beyond word and never will be alone even if you feel this way. You are in my prayer and i pray for your husband to heal in all level and ask for forgiveness to you.

I find that watching moving about the story of Saint are uplifting and healing.

Dear God, if this is ok with you, please allow peace, healing, trust and faith in her heart to be empowered by your love. I pray for all the perfect miracles for the highest love in Jesus name. Amen
