that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent , but with great confidence ,
submit ourselves to Your Holy Will ,
which is love and mercy itself . Amen

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

77stanthony; gofor goal; tradcathconvert and The Reginator (hi, Reg):

Thank you all for your wonderful prayers! tremendous people all - I attended a
rosary and Mass last evening for St. Anne feast and thought of all of you. God’s
warriors. goforgoal - thank you for mentioning Gideon - this is a very fortunate
Australian cattle dog - I bless him with Lourdes water and everyone prays for
him. How dear!!! He is such a good boy for me and tremendous company. He
spotted a racoon feeding at the birdfeeder and not all the howling and barking in
the world would make the critter move. I know the racoon was glad Gideon was
stuck inside and he had free reign outdoors last night.

My prayer is for you and your families this weekend. Be at peace and enjoy a
rest.

your friend in the Mystical Body of Christ,

tradcathconvert and tbcrawford: you don’t see one of you without the other… it
makes me smile.

Just returned from Mass/serving coffee and donuts. I heard one of our parishioners
was dying in hospice. She is six years younger than me. A once bright, spunky
blonde gal reduced low. Her appearance slapped me in the face, and quickly
reminded me of my mortality. I know people are facing trials, but it made clear
to me that none of us is guaranteed a happy ending. Sometimes the Lord just
calls us back.

Thinking of you both today and your generosity!

tradcathconvert and needsmercy: thank you for starting my week so beautifully;
I am grateful. This week I begin meetings again with my Divorced and Separated group
on Tuesday once again. It is reassuring to hear their stories and how they have
begun their new lives. God love you for your kindness to me and others.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in you!

tradcathconvert and tbcrawford: wonderful to hear from you and the prayers said
for myself. Yes, I am still thinking of the woman in hospice. I remember her looks
and confidence. She said to me: you never know when this can happen to you.
I agree; we all think we are above these kinds of trials. I know when the marriage
ended, I was stunned and wanted to hide out. I was in disbelief, much like my
parish friend is going through. She told me she fears being filled with morphine;
her mind is sharp yet. She knows the situation is beyond her control; only God
will intervene now. To Him, we graciously pray.

tradcathcconvert and tbcrawford: you are such a sweet lady, but honestly I have so
many flaws. Living alone lets me reflect back and see them very clearly. Now I can
calmly review what I see going on around me. Before I was totally preoccupied
with my little married world. One of the benefits of now living alone is a lot of solitude
and time to think. Late, but maybe I can learn some things about myself for the
future. One thing this crisis has taught me: more patience with everybody else,
more empathy for everybody else. I now have the time to look deeply in the hearts of
others. I reflect a lot on the goodness of everyone on THIS site…their concern for
others & their generosity. Have a blessed day, “T”.
