Abbatial blessing

In the Latin Church, the abbot or abbess, while elected by the monks or nuns, is enthroned and blessed/consecrated by the local bishop. Is this also the case in the Eastern and Oriental rites? Is there a special liturgicial rite corresponding to the Abbatial blessing of the Roman Rite?
