  1. Now there are also the argument that we PRO-LIFE are anti-Women
  2. and that abortion is tragically necessary because some people are just incapable of being good parents.
  1. and that she said that no one has the right to tell/order her what to do with her own body.
I’ve numbered your points for convenience.
The first point is just rhetoric and has no argumentative value. Your friend can’t just go and label the pro-life position as inherently anti-woman; that’s begging the question and ad hominen.

As another poster pointed out, the second point could just as well apply to a post-natal baby. We absolutely do not go and execute a child for the (potential) sins of the mother. Also, there are so many people waiting to adopt a child.

Again, as a previous poster said to point 3, abortion doesn’t kill the mother’s body (directly)(usually), it kills the baby’s.

There is plenty of evidence that women have been forced to get abortions.

My sister didn’t want an abortion, but my mother made her do it. No, she didn’t hold a gun to my sister’s head, but she used a subtle combination of threats and “caring” to get her to change her mind. Happens all the time.

We anti-abortion people get accused of being anti-women all the time. That’s a bunch of codswallop. How many future women are killed by abortions? And how is it pro-woman to deny her natural role as a life-bearer? That’s part of who we are. Sure, some women are not called to be mothers. In that case, they are called to celibacy, not to abortion. That’s the *responsible *way to be childless.

God bless you,

Ruthie

Honestly PRO-LIFE arguments makes a whole lot of sense. However what is horrifying is
the fact that for the past 25+ years, people honestly
believe that abortion will not personally affect them,
I heard some people say they are opposed to it,but
its not their soul or peace of mind that is at risk.

On the coming election, a lot of people are against
abortion, but they claim they have grave doubts about the competence of the other candidate and
they are forced to choose the lesser evil.

The problem is the legal personhood of the child. It varies fro state to state.

In Alaska, current laws consider an unborn child to be a person, so assault on a pregnant woman usually also constitutes assault on the unborn child. (And further, prevents the mother from refusing to press charges… as the officer can file them on behalf of the unborn child.)

Murder a woman, and if her unborn child doesn’t survive, it’s two counts, not one.

Unfortunately, medical providers are exempt if the procedure was consented to by the mother, thus still allowing abortion.

Thanks for your insight.

That sounds tragically selfish. Does this ring true to any other statement in life?

murder is tragically neccessary because some people
are just incapable of being good neighbors.

rape is tragically neccessary because some people
are just incapable of being good partners.

Robbery is tragically neccessary because some people
are just incapable of being good workers.

Well said Sister thank you.
What is so frustrating is no matter how irrational, selfish and unchristian the pro-choice
position is, they refuse to listen to reason and
they are just unmoved, unimpressed and no
amount of logic or explanation seems to change
their point of view.

They may be in for a rude surprise. (Just ask Ag_not about her peace of mind! She’s a former pro-abort who had a change of heart and mind, thanks to Our Lady!)

Pray that their peace of mind is removed, before their souls are separated from their bodies. Pray for their salvation, and that they may share all our blessings. Pray without ceasing!

God bless us all, including all political candidates,

Ruthie
