I am suspicious of the claim in the headline. The article doesn’t offer any proof that the decline in abortions in the US has caused a long term reduction in infant mortality. What the article does is note the lower abortion rate and the lower infant mortality rate and then hypothesize a connection between the two by citing a French study which says mothers who had an abortion were more likely to have a pre-mature birth.

A news source shouldn’t run a headline announcing a connection when there isn’t actual evidence of it. Life News may want to rein in its headline writers.

There has been a correlation of abortion to premature birth, still birth and miscarriages in many studies. Also I believe there are now studies going on that relate pp depression to the loss of a previous pregnancy.
