Pennsylvania Lawmakers Hold Hearings On West Philly Abortion Doctor Scandal:

Two Pennsylvania state senate committees have begun a series of hearings on the horrors at a West Philadelphia abortion clinic by hearing from prosecutors involved in the case.

This “doctor” performed late-term abortions and when the babies were born alive, he killed them and then kept their corpses.

Any comments?

Oh, come now Mary Gail 36. It’s really no reason to get upset!

(totally kidding. I’m sickened by this)
Hi…Jill Stanek had covered this. In the article she described a 6 pound 18 inch baby (bigger than I was when I was born) he had his spine snapped, but continued to live for a few moments longer, in severe agony.

They are contemplating the death penalty for this “doctor”. But he will be given due process and appeals if convicted. Poor baby didn’t get anything, not even his mother’s protection.

I hope he does get the death penalty…

As a Catholic, I cannot condone the death penalty for this man.

As a mother, I want to be left alone in a room with this man for two days with nothing but a pair of vice grips, a box of safety pins and a dental drill.

Thank you. I always think of the Social Justice forum for anything about abortion. I didn’t see this discussed in this forum so I started a thread but I got only one reply. And that’s because the title of the article doesn’t mention the horror this supposed “physician” was involved in.

Hundreds of victims.

This is the worst I’ve ever read about abortion. It’s like a nightmare but it’s real.

I suggest that we let this thread die and join in the other thread, which is older and more popular (besides, it’s interesting, too). It amazes me that Catholics can support the death penalty, including being “drawn and quartered” in this day and age.

Being pro-life means being pro-life always and everywhere. Some people don’t see this.

Quite frankly I’m having a hard time understanding why society is so upset about this situation. If the doctor had succeeded in severing the child’s spinal cord a mere five minutes earlier it would have been perfectly legal. In fact the doctor would have been lauded for standing up for the woman’s right to “choose.” What possible difference does five minutes and a few feet make? 🤷 😦

That’s pretty much the case. A woman approaches an abortionist, after all, for the purpose of delivering a dead baby. If it comes out alive, he’s just trying to finish the job he was hired for.

This does illustrate how abortion has deadened our sensibilities. On the news the other day was a case where a mother was being sought for having delivered a live baby and then tried to flush it down the toilet. It lived and is now being treated.

Abortion is always evil…the only difference between Kermit and Dr. Tiller is that the latter feigned compassion. Kermit did not hide his evil acts as compassion.

Kermit slit the babies’ throats…Tiller injected their hearts with poison. Dead babies resulted at either place.

No.
In fact, K. Gosnell cut open the back of their necks
and then cut their spinal cords. Death is death.
Yet he didn’t do it face-to-face.

Thanks, but I did read of one baby whose throat was slit…I’ll see if I can find it,
What monster would kill a child who survived an abortion? On Aug. 5, 2002, President Bush signed the Born Alive Infants Protection Act, which stated that any baby mistakenly born (oh, the irony!) during an abortion has all the rights of any other living human being. None of the broadcast networks covered that at the time. On CNN that day, it was dismissed as “a really symbolic bill” (reporter Kelly Wallace), a “largely symbolic law” (anchor Miles O’Brien) that was only aimed “to appease anti-abortion advocates” (deputy bureau chief Steve Redisch). Was it “symbolic” to Gosnell’s seven infants, born alive and then stabbed in the neck with scissors?
Again, the Philadelphia Inquirer: “One premature infant wiggled around on a counter for 20 minutes before an untrained worker slit his neck – after first playing with him.”

Maybe it meant the spine?

All abortion is gruesome. 😦

Thanks Catharina…I cannot bear to read the report yet.

My baby was 2 pounds 13 ounces at birth, at 28 weeks. I witnessed babies around that size for about 2 months every day in the NICU. I saw a little girl who was born at 24 weeks…

Let’s just say if I lived in Philadelphia, the defense would not want me on the jury. Right now I’m finding it hard to be merciful…:o

It was my absolute privilege and joy to care for a baby
who was born, 1 lb 1 oz, at 24 weeks. Because I happened
to have incredible experience with premies, I cared for her for
ten-hrs-a-day for two years. She just turned 6 yrs old, is in
kindergarten and has NO deficits. She is a delight. The
parents were wise to hand her over to me (IMO) since they
lost the twin sister of this baby 5 weeks after birth. (They’d
been totally devestated.) They could come home from work
and rejoice in their eventually VERY healthy baby girl
after she’d spent her days with me.

Blessed be God.

Of course, I’m still in close touch with this family!

God bless you Catharina. From my experience at the NICU, those who work with preemies are practically angels. Thank you. :hug1:
