This is further evidence that the Episcopal ‘Church’ is nothing but a left-wing, socialist, secular three ring circus of counterculturalism clothed in clerical garments. I think the Episcopal Church is Satan’s greatest triumph and achievement to date for creating a thoroughly heretical mockery of Christ’s Gospel. For me, whenever I have a crisis of faith or moment of darkness as a Catholic, I just look to this pagan denomination and come to appreciate more and more the full richness of the Rock we sit on as a Church. Thanks be to God for our Catholicism. We need to pray for the conservative, normal folks that are buried in the Episcopal Church, that they’ll come back to Catholicism. This denomination is collapsing from being aged, irrelevent, a laughingstock theologically, and from paying all those lawyers to sue the pants off of the good Anglicans trying to break free, stealing their property. Anglicanism in general was a political “settlement” in England. It was a politically-generated State religion that tried to politically appease evangelicals and catholic-sympathizers in an age of confusion and unrest. Watching Henry VIII, Cranmer, Ridley, Latimer, and all these guys with their ups and downs from the “black rubrics” of anti-Catholic hatred to the “tractarian” pro-Catholic love-ins of the 1800’s, one gets dizzy and needs Dramamine! Anglican parish churches are empty in England and the churches here in the states are largely refugee camps for hippy commune tenants from the 60’s.
Nothing, I repeat NOTHING you tell me newswise that comes from the Episcopal Church can shock me. Nothing. If you told me that they ordained a Camel or a Hermit Crab next week, I wouldn’t be surprised. I remember a few years back when the wicked witch of the west, Katherine Jefforts whatshername declared a replacement of the traditional stations of the cross with meditations on carbon footprints and the environment.
