Regarding the original post…any thinking person who read any PP literature or information of any kind would take such with a grain of salt-- clearly PP can be expected to have an agenda.

and boy did you say a mouthful, there!

Have you hear of American Life League?

This also includes STOPP (Stop Planned Parenthood)

I get the STOPP report weekly in my email which gives updates on what PP is doing and how others are successfully fighting PP.

Well obviously PP has an agenda! What an understatement!

Not many women excogitate their options before having abortions, so the only information they receive comes from a “pro-death” staff at PP. My post was regarding how we as God fearing individuals can spread the word about how harmful and immoral the entire abortion process is, because the women getting abortions are inhibited with false information and that needs to change!

That is exactly why I posted a thread, to get action oriented ideas 👍
Yes, and that’s why I’m encouraging you to help those girls in your school! You have a golden opportunity right at your back door. Show them pictures of fetal development and also pictures of aborted babies. If a nun takes them to the clinic, it will be most difficult to explain Church teaching to them. And that’s where the pictures come in. A picture is worth a thousand words!

*But * prayer is our greatest weapon!!

As an activist in the pro-life movement, I have to admit I cringe when I hear people say that. It’s usually a way to back out of doing the dirty work (don’t get me wrong, I know you didn’t mean it that way). That’s what Jesus was talking about when He said that not everyone who cries, “Lord, Lord!” will enter the kingdom of heaven, but those who do the will of the Father. [This is not directed at you. It’s just some food for thought for anyone who reads this thread who has not been doing something (in addition to praying) to stop abortion.]

Showing pictures of aborted babies and of fetal development is a most sure way of exposing the truth about abortion.

AMEN to that!! Every time a man and women has sex, they are creating a prayer together. A child is the answer to that prayer. Trinitarian love portrays this beautifully. If only they could understand… 😦
That is beautiful! I am going to say that to my soon to be 11 year old as a means to explain why waiting until your married is important.👍

As long as you dont follow the footsteps of george bush im ok with people like you.Its once you define prolife as only abortion and not war, death penalty ect., those kind of people drive me nuts.As you know I am prochoice and proud of it.And maybe openmindedness would be helpful instead of tearing planned parenthood apart.

Love ya lots crazy prodigy!

Hi,

Im sure you would all agree that we should be educating our youth about abstinence first and foremost and explain sex through God’s eyes not man.

What I wish pro-life demonstraters would do is instead of standing outside clinics and calling these young women baby killers, they would take them aside and offer to help them out. I say put your money where your mouth is.👍 Many of these girls feel they have to have an abortion because they have 0 support. If someone extended a helping hand we might have less abortions.👍

Just my:twocents:
It DOES happen! Just yesterday, I attended a baby shower (along with about 35 others, mostly women, about a dozen youth). This young woman and her unborn baby was saved through the efforts of sidewalk counseling from one of the faithful ladies of our pro-life group who is there outside the abortuary nearly every Tues. and Fri. (the days the abortionist comes in to do them). The expectant mother AND father were present at the party, and they received so many clothes, money, equipment and support, they were just overwhelmed by it all. I was truly blessed by being able to participate.

And our local Pregnancy clinic says that 100% of the women who come in who get an ultrasound decide to continue the pregnancy. That’s a pretty awesome success rate!

See it does work:thumbsup: I am so happy to hear that.😃 God Bless you guys for doing that for the couple and child.👍

Here is site that provides information on post-abortion traumas experienced by women. This is the stuff that PP doesn’t want their ‘customers’ to know. They don’t make much money if the woman decides to keep her baby. They are not pro-choice - they are pro-profit.

afterabortion.info/

This is an article titled ‘The Risks of Choice’
afterabortion.info/PAR/V8/n3/abortionrisks.html

Even though most abortion-related deaths are not officially reported as such,(1) legal abortion is reported to be the fifth leading cause of maternal death in the U.S.(2) The most recent-and best documented-study on abortion-related deaths to date is a 1997 government-funded study from Finland which showed that women who abort are four times more likely to die within a year than women who give birth. By extending their scope beyond the very narrow time frame that is examined by most post-abortion studies, the researchers were able to get a better look at how abortion truly affects women’s lives. The results clearly showed that compared to women who carry to term, women who aborted in the year prior to their deaths were:

60 percent more likely to die of natural causes,
7 times more likely to commit suicide,
4 times more likely to have fatal accidents, and
14 times more likely to die from homicide.(3)

Also the Sister of St Joseph who actually drives teens to an abortion clinic should be reported to her Superior and to the School Board. I’m sure the parents who send their children to this school would be appreciative of this information. This is unacceptable behaviour for a nun - even for a Josephite. On second thought - skip her Superior, go straight to the parents! And make a big stink about it, too! This is a scandal. (No surprise though, considering the Order)

May I ask where you got the idea that pro-lifers outside clinics shout “baby killers”: from the media or from actually seeing it yourself?

Maybe you are that someone.

Maria
I’ve seen it in the Northern NJ area. The yelling, the giant poster, etc.

Hi,
Interseting that I live in NJ and have also experienced this. Maybe it is just the people in NJ who do this:(

When I was in college back in the 80’s, I was asked by a friend to walk with her to an abortion clinic. She really had few other options, her folks would have cut off paying her tuition if she had actually given birth (or if they’d even known she was pregnant). I agreed, because she was my friend and I didn’t want her to go through it alone (no one should have to face such a thing alone). I was shocked at the rudeness of the prolife crowd. They stood on the sidewalk and wouldn’t let us through, invaded our personal space so that it was difficult to proceed, yelled at us, tried to coax us with donuts (at that time you couldn’t get an abortion if you had eaten anything for a couple hours prior to the procedure, so it was a sneaky trick on their part), and otherwise made it a very unpleasant experience. So I’m pleased that the prolife movement has matured to the point where they aren’t trying to infringe on others right to free movement. I supported Clinton’s FACE act because I remembered the behavior of the group when I walked in to support my friend. And we were lucky the guy who liked to handcuff himself to the door wasn’t there that day (yes, the police would arrest him etc. but it made the clinic inaccessible for a period of time every time he did it).

As for my friend? She seems to be fine. Professor of English, married with 2 little boys. She’s still pro-choice unlike some who get their abortion to secure their future then get all pro-life toward others.

Why kill a child so that one’s career works out? What injustice did the poor child do to deserve such a punishment?

Hi,

Yes there is much support out there but I bettcha alot of youth dont have a clue where to find it. I:(
Not only a lot of youth, but many, many family doctors don’t have a clue what support services are out there for pregnant teens - schools for pregnant teens, counselling services, prenatal and postnatal support, financial aid, adoption services, even support groups for the fathers of these babies. My doctor didn’t have a clue…

[sarcasm on] Yeh, no one should have to face killing an unborn human being alone. Now that would be a travisty. [sarcasm off]

How is the child she killed doing now?

We still use the sneaky “food trick” by offering to take the women entering the abortion mill to breakfast. We also still try to get the cars to stop and talk to us and we get around one turnaround a week. We have several large signs, including ones of aborted babies, beautiful live babies and fetal development posters. Our word signs say such things as “Mommy,Daddy Let Me Live!” and “You CAn Still CHange Your Mind”. We have beautiful ,handmade gift baskets with baby items to give to the abortion bound women. We also post people at both entrances and place our signs so it is impossible for most of the women to miss them.
In our free moments we pray and pass literature out to the car traffic.

Try it again with pro-life literature in your hands and see how far you get-- you’ll get arrested.

First, it is private property so they can refuse anyone access to their property. Second, former President Clinton helped pass the F.A.C.E. (Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances) act which makes it a federal crime to impede anyone from entering an abortion clinic or block the entrance to a clinic.

Pro-lifers have to be extremely careful when they are in proximity to an abortion clinic.

No, it’s not an adult versus child issue but whether or not they know you to be a pro-life sidewalk counselor or not and whether you are trying to talk to women about abortion or not.

You are 17. You have a lot to learn. It is less likely you will be arrested at an abortion clinic if you are careful to follow the law, stay on public property, have a video camera, and ensure you are never there alone.

It is definitely a chance everyone takes when they go to an abortion facility. I know several pro-lifers who were arrested while standing on the public sidewalk. Pro-abortion police officers often unjustly arrest pro-lifers. That’s why it’s important to have a video camera and to never be alone.
I second that very important advice. It is entirely different situation if a known pro-lifer enters an abortion mill.

Pro-aborts lie so it is important that you anticipate their lies as best you can and act accordingly.
