We volunteer at pro-life crisis pregnancy centers and we never vote for those who support abortion and when we emhasize we NEVER accept that there is ANY reason for one to kill their child. There is never a situation where the only way out is killing your child. never.
I am happy to see you are doing this. And I agree with the NEVER. I just wish there was more publicity regarding what pro-lifers are doing to help those in a crisis situation, such as an “unwanted” pregnancy. As Pope John Paul II said, We are a society of death. How did all this negativity creep up on us and in less than fifty years? Our biggest problem is when pro-choice folks rationalize “the mother’s rights” over that of the unprotected infant. Or they say, "Well, we don’t know when life begins, and then try to equate “life” with “personhood”. Life is Life. Death is Death. Infuriating. 🙂 Peace.

Abortion is a BILLION dollar a year industry, Those who want her to kill her child are in it for the money. We aid and abette this evil when we claim to oppose it but rationalize why women do it.
So you criticize people who want to make a profit… a surprising sentiment from a right winger.

We most certainly dont show empathy with a women by telling her society let her down and we are so sorry she had no choice but to klill her child. We tell her we are sorry she was deceived into believing it was acceptable for her to kill her child.
What about an etopic pregnancy?

Only for those who are mired in a simplistic worldview.
But what is wrong with doing abortion* for the money*? Many people do other things for the money and you do not criticize their motivations.

Well the law is a huge one. That being said I am totally against abortion unless the mothers life is at risk

I donlt think there is any reason other them maybe the mother will die without it that a baby should be alllowed to be aborted a week before it is born. In fact I think it is illegal in many states. But really I think you would be hardpressed to find any prochoicer that thinks that is ok…
I just realized in all my deleting rewritting and what not I actually accidently posted an untruth here. :o I meant to say I am totally against abortion at 9 monthes except for in case of the mothers life or in general at any time after viablity. Not that I am against all abortion thought I would clarify that since I donlt want to be misleading. 🙂

I do not pretend to have sufficient information to say why it is that so many poor women conceive out of wedlock. The late Sen Moynihan, a liberal democrat, who did have access to all the information available, concluded that the very poverty programs so many advocate as the “cure” for abortion were, in fact, the major cause of the breakdown of families and teenage promiscuity among the poor. I have never seen it persuasively argued that he was wrong.

Of course, the moral collapse of more prosperous families is a different thing. It is difficult not to believe the permissive and pornographic society our courts have permitted and encouraged play some part in it. Unfortunately, many people do confuse what is legal with what is moral, having no better basis for guiding their actions.

At one time, (and there are still probably a few) there were “unwed mother’s” homes. Girls would “go to college”, or “take a job in California” or something and disappear for nine months or so. The baby would be adopted, the girl would return home, having “quit college” or “had it with California” or go elsewhere, and that would be that. But that was back when people actually did attach some stigma to being an unwed mother. Now, nobody thinks anything of it at all. I just don’t think that’s what abortions are about, for the most part.

What really astounds me is the willingness of women to somehow believe it’s better to kill a child than to allow it to be adopted. I just can’t get my mind around that. I once actually heard a woman say she “couldn’t stand” to give her baby up, so she had an abortion. I think perhaps there’s a great deal of that, and I absolutely don’t understand it, unless such women have been persuaded (and certainly the “progressive” culture promotes the lie) that the baby is just a “blob of tissue” or any of the euphemisms they use. But I suspect some do know better, and the thinking of those is totally beyond my comprehension.

If that person is making a profit by killing, it’s a valid criticism. Or otherwise, mafia hitmen are legitimate businessmen just out to engage in capitalism.

Oh so now one of the classic “lets change the subject” dodges raises it ugly head Sorry I am not going to wander dwon that goat track with you.

Over 3,000 children who were this time yesterday sleeping in their mothers womb have now been ripped apart and thrown out with the garbage. How can anyone rationalize this ?

And Christ DID NOT have empathy for sinners? Society HAS let these women down in that many feel backed into a corner with no other option but abortion. Is she the only one who sins? Isn’t there a sin called “sin of omission?”

Okay, Okay, I am talking about PREVENTION here. We ARE on the same team. 🙂 Peace.

I donlt see how I am changing the subject…if anything it seems like you are trying to avoid the fact that if you TRULLY believe that there should be NO exceptions NO reasons…then surely those mothers with eptopic pregnancies must die right?

Just want to throw my two cents in. I also believe that the key to ending abortion is to set up financial, spiritual and emotional support systems for young women. I actually contemplated having an abortion when I became pregnant during my last semester of college. I was about to become a single mother and start my post-college career, had no insurance, no job, my lease was about up and I had no plans. However, having been raised Catholic, I knew it was wrong and after scheduling the appointment, I got in touch with a Catholic organization that said it could help me both emotionally and financially. Well, needless to say, the second I was “out of the woods” so to speak, I slowly heard less and less, and then nothing after it was legally to late to have an abortion.

Now, I wasn’t going to change my mind, I came to really want my baby, but he was born premature, I had trouble finding work, and without the support of my family, I never would have made it. Some women just don’t have family support like I did, and what would have happened to them?? There has to be more than just “don’t have an abortion.” There needs to be support for the mother and her new baby, or abortion will continue to be considered an option for many women.

I think a lot of women aren’t given enough info about adoption. They think it’s either abortion or raising a child they aren’t ready for.

Sin is sin. The woman who aborts is just as guilty as the abortionists who actually performs the act.

But then again, there are many cases where a woman is forced to abort by physical force or threats. I’d say that she would be free of guilt in that case.

I think a lot of women aren’t given enough info about adoption. They think it’s either abortion or raising a child they aren’t ready for.
And many of them are fooled by the abortionists into thinking it isn’t a life. There is a lot of deception on the part of abortion providers.

“They [the women] are never allowed to look at the ultrasound because we knew that if they so much as heard the heart beat, they wouldn’t want to have an abortion.”
Dr. Randall, abortion physician

“I was trained by a professional marketing director in how to sell abortions over the telephone. He took every one of our receptionists, nurses, and anyone else who would deal with people over the phone through an extensive training period. The object was, when the girl called, to hook the sale so that she wouldn’t get an abortion somewhere else, or adopt out her baby, or change her mind. We were doing it for the money.”
–Nina Whitten, chief secretary at a Dallas abortion clinic under Dr. Curtis Boyd

“Every woman has these same two questions: First, “Is it a baby?” “No” the counselor assures her. “It is a product of conception (or a blood clot, or a piece of tissue). . .How many women would have an abortion, if they told them the truth?”
–Carol Everett, former owner of two clinics and director of four “A Walk Through an Abortion Clinic” by Carol Everett ALL About Issues magazine Aug-Sept 1991, p 117

“If a woman we were counseling expressed doubts about having an abortion, we would say whatever was necessary to persuade her to abort immediately.”
–Judy W., former office manager of the second largest abortion clinic in El Paso, Texas

"We tried to avoid the women seeing them [the fetuses] They always wanted to know the sex, but we lied and said it was too early to tell. It’s better for the women to think of the fetus as an ‘it’.
–Abortion clinic worker Norma Eidelman quoted in Rachel Weeping p 34

“Sometimes we lied. A girl might ask what her baby was like at a certain point in the pregnancy: Was it a baby yet? Even as early as 12 weeks a baby is totally formed, he has fingerprints, turns his head, fans his toes, feels pain. But we would say ‘It’s not a baby yet. It’s just tissue, like a clot.’”
–Kathy Sparks told in “The Conversion of Kathy Sparks” by Gloria Williamson, Christian Herald Jan 1986 p 28

“In fact many women will come to me considering abortion, and I have been personally told that I am to turn the monitor away from her view so that seeing her baby jump around on the screen does not influence her choice.”
Shari Richards, quoted from the John Ankerburg Show on 3/7/90

There are quite a few more of these admissions of dishonesty, but I didn’t want to make my reply too long.

Do you support murder for hire? Does the “Hit Man” earn his wage and therefore should be allowed to ‘ply his trade’ like a civil engineer or the motel clerk?

Earning money in a profession or trade that is not immoral is far different than the affront of murder, theft, selling illegle drugs …

I do not think I should be able to hire a person to kill my spouse, or child or parent or the neighbor next door… do you

Good point!

According to that other person’s logic, burglary is good for the ecomony and should be legal. People have to go out and replace their stolen items, right? It helps the economy.

In reality this is exactly the case, our society encourages people to remain single even as they bring children into the world [or choose abortion]. The “sexual revolution” has not empowered women [that is a false promise] nor has it truly freed men from there responsibilities … it has left women to be used [cheaply and to become users - always searching for love and not finding it] and it has allowed them [both women and men] to run from their actions … to the detriment of society … and the loss of human life is a holocaust, genocide an absolute pure evil …

And there are still homes for mothers and there babies …I am sure that they exist in every state in some form or another …

Many are probably like this one I know of:
The Father Taaffe Foundation … Father Taafe [now Monseignor] started with one home in the mid seventies and now operates three …

here is a link: stbrigidhome.org/history.shtml

And you can make donations to this worthy cause:thumbsup:

I know that many people would do more but alas, our society tells people that abortion is just a “choice” like the decision between Burger King and McDonalds … Have it your way … or not… 😦

The charge is always that the Pro Lifers never help … the fact is we do …

Those who offer abortion [for a fee] as the solution are not offering assistance IMHO, because the woman is still just as poor or lonely or overwhelmed or in an abusive relationship or just as unmarried … it just that now she is the mother of a dead child and has now participated in causing that death … 🤷 You may believe that it is a solution but it really solves nothing, kills hope, destroys love and ends a life …

Yes, and the druggies that are stealing the cables from transmission lines and cell towers and even taking down luminaire [light] posts for the metal to sell for drug money are helping to keep the ‘governement investing’ [read that a tax increases] as they have to replace this lost wiring, etc…

And the occassional ‘goof ball’ who mistakes the million dollar fiber optic line for hundred dollar’s worth of copper wire … hey … as long as the communication outage does not affect you personnally, heck that helps the contruction industry…🤷
