They are, by thier own acton.Code of Canon Law 1398 A person who procures a completed abortion incurs a latae sententiae excommunication.
Of course, we don’t know how many of these people have been involved in the procurement of a completed abortion, and it seems likely that some are not excommunicated.

Publicly advocating abortion is reason enough to deny them the right to receive.

Can we get some of these people in our churches??

One of those in attendance at the Mass, Maria Emilia Paredes, told La Prensa that the women “were profaning the house of the Lord, a protest that should have taken place outside, because as Christians, as Catholics, we should be respectful. They do not yet know the Lord. If they did, they would not have done this. They provoked what happened from the moment they came in with the phrases on their t-shirts.”👍 👍 👍

Ofelia Palacios, who was also in attendance, said the women who came into the church wearing shirts that read “Yes to Abortion” were committing a sacrilege. “They want to be famous,” she said, “but they should protest somewhere else.”👍 👍 👍

Current Nicaraguan law punishes the disruption of religious services recognized by the state with five to forty-five days in prison.

If the disruption is accompanied by threats, violence, insults or displays of scorn, the punishment can be increased to forty-five to ninety days.

I never understand why people who disagree with the church want communion, be they pseudo-catholic or protestant. The Eucharist is many things. First, and foremost it is the Body of Christ. But I often think that Catholics forget that receiving communion is also symbolic.

Whenever protestants ask why they can’t take communion in the Catholic Church, the Catholic response is usually focused on the different beliefs in the true presence. This should satify, but protestants often don’t accept this reason because they still see it as their being denied something. It goes to an underlying problem all protestants have with Catholic authority. (I want it, and who is to say you can’t give it to me!)

Instead, Catholics should ask the protestant, “Why do you want to receive the communion?” From the non-believer in the Real Presence point of view, communion is solely symbolic. To them receiving communion is a public profession of solidarity and agreement with the church that you are taking communion with. So the question is: “Why do you want to make a public statement of agreement by your action when you don’t agree? Won’t that be lying? Won’t that be breaking one of the ten commandments? Do you want to profess agreement with a church you disagree with?”

Bringing it back to these pseudo-catholics in Nicaragua, here they are demanding the opportunity to lie. Demanding to have the opportunity to act in agreement, while shouting down words of disagreement at the same time. I admit I don’t know the whole story, but from what I have seen these people are clearly not thinking straight.

Forget the logic and theology for a minute. It is common good manners to be respectful of religious ceremonies and beliefs. These women have acted very boorishly and in my mind it is just so much trashy behavior.

I know some protestants who attend Mass occasionally with their spouses. They don’t demand to receive communion. They understand that they are not supposed to. They just sit patiently while the Catholics receive and return to their pews. In short, they behave like civilized people, not like jerks.

They would not disrupt Mass in San Francisco. Most likely the priest would have brought them to the front of the line to receive.
👍 This particular priest had the courage through grace to protect and defend the Body of Christ! Sadly cannot say the same for all of them.😦

HOW ARE THEY NOT EXCOMMUNICATED!

Somebody explain this to me!
How are American liberal “Catholic” politicians who continually vote for abortion, morning-after pills, gay marriage, etc not excommunicated?

The Church really needs to step up its effort to clean these people out. Any groups that openly and publicly defy Catholic doctrine should be given a chance to reform, then if they refuse, they should be excommunicated. I think those types would be more comfortable in the Episcopal or “United Church of Christ” or the United Methodist Church.
