Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls. Amen.

Lord Jesus Christ, You took our human nature upon Yourself. You shared our life and death, our childhood and adulthood.
You also shared our time in the womb. While still God, while worshiped and adored by the angels, while Almighty and filling every part of the universe, You dwelt for nine months in the womb of Mary. You were our Redeemer in the womb, our God who was a preborn child.
Lord Jesus, we ask You to bless and protect the children who today are in their mothers’ womb. Save them from the danger of abortion. Give their mothers the grace to sacrifice themselves, in body and soul, for their children. Help all people to recognize in the preborn child a brother, a sister, saved by You, our Redeemer in the womb.
Amen.

Prayer for a Pregnant Woman
All loving Jesus, hear our prayer for this expectant mother who holds in her womb her unborn child. She may be frightened. She may be alone. She may be abandoned. She may be confused. Comfort her now in her time of need. Help her to understand that you will be with her at all times, even when she does not feel your presence. But Lord, help her to feel your presence often, this is a comfort to her and her child. Wipe away all tears of confusion and despair.
Give her the understanding and wonderment of knowing the precious life that grows within her. Fill her with your peace and blessing so that she may bring her child into this world safely. She may not know you Lord - help her to know that you know and love her. Help her to know her own uniqueness and her worth as a human being. Love her Lord, as you love us all. Send her your Holy Spirit, and help her to know that she too is a child of God our Father. Protect, comfort, and keep her, in your loving care. We pray this in your holy name Jesus. Amen.
