Having a child will change a person, whether that child is born or not. I saw this first hand when I had my own child. Some changes are more dramatic than others, but it provides a context for a lot of things. When I had my beautiful boy and saw him for the first time everything changed in the world. Including how I saw abortion. I used to participate in so many pro-life activities and “evangelize” by engaging in respectful debate with pro-aborts. Now…I can’t even read the article. I feel physically ill and have anxiety thinking about the millions of babies like my sweet one who were murdered by the person who is supposed to love them the most in the whole world. I can’t even fathom it anymore and have become SO emotional about the topic I’ve had to bow out entirely. I can’t stand the thought, and can’t stand even more those sentiments that would allow, celebrate, or even tolerate it in a political sense because “some issues are more important.” When young babes are being ripped to pieces and having their brains crushed at the request of their own mothers…I just don’t see how the human race can fall any further.
