Well, first what your asking is huge. The subject quite vast once you start getting into the whole refuting this, presenting that and so on.
Rightly so there are a number of sites, books, videos, etc., out there that go into great detail on the subject. Check them out.
I can give you a quick run down though.
The problem starts before one goes to abort their child. It’s irresponsible behavior that got them into this circumstance in the first place. What makes you think they are going to have the moral fortitude realize the path before them.
All the arguments and evidences fall on deaf ears. Graphics images are a no no because they are ‘offensive’. ‘Catholic’ politicians that support an aborting of a ‘mistake’ doesn’t help either. Neither do the ‘Catholics’ that vote for them and make excuses for something the Church as described as intrinsically evil.
So that aside, and realizing the uphill battle, there are a number of objections/refutations on could put forth.

This is also important on the meaning of sexual relations and our duty to God and humankind. Abortion is a suicide of our own species. A genocide of mankind. God ought to be real happy.

As were you. As was I. Oh, what was it that you are justifying again? An ‘abortion’? What are you ‘aborting’. It’s something.
Also while your on the topic ask them how the feel about space exploration, and see if you can point out any similarities between the two ideas and how scientists are looking for just any sort of microscopic sign of life in soil.
That’s right life.

Catholic politicians say it is ok.”
They are not Catholic. The Church has already stated abortion is intrinsically evil.
Voting for pro life politicians will ensure that Roe v Wade will be over turned. Only the Supreme Court can do it. Only pro life politicians will appoint pro life judges.
Ultimately comes down to this:
The person is irresponsible and they are ‘aborting’ something, Also many of these irresponsible persons are using forms of contraception to prevent this ‘something’ from ever taking place.
That and the, “Everyone for abortion has already been born.”
You don’t need to take a Catholic position or use scripture, or graphic images, personal stories, etc.at all really.(These help to express the severity of the matter.)
Just use a moral responsible one.
