Abortion terminates the gestation of a fetus, thereby quashing its potential to become a child.

**I’m not a grandmother, but I’m old enough to be one, and even I know that. **

**“Fetus”: fundamental biology. “Baby”: rhetorical melodrama. **

And a child has the potential to become an adult-does that mean we can kill them. ?

That is very heartless. These are children they look like children because they are children. my youngest was 7 weeks old and the child did not look like a bunch of tissue.

.😦
That is a problem with the culture of death that we dont discuss a lot. It coarsens society and leads to an overall lack of respect for life in all areas. Your tragedy is dismissed as mere sentimentality because to aknowledge the depth of your loss would undermine the principles underlying the culture of death.

I am going to add this thought to this forum – it’s something I’ve said (and thought) for a long, long time – it’s this: If they were doing this to animals (aborting them) the animal rights acticvists would be protesting and marching around the White House, and the press would be with them.
Do you think I’m right???
Actually, animals* are* given more protection under the law than unborn humans.

“Isn’t it funny how everyone calls the fetus a baby if she is wanted but if she is not wanted they call her a fetus or bunch of tissue. SICK and sad. And it is even sadder, when a mother can look and hold her child in her hands and so carelessly dispose of her. My heart breaks for you.”

**I scooped my fetus out of the toilet where the tissue had landed with a splash. I was sixty seconds from going out onstage in front of 2,500 people in Wichita, Kansas in 1978. I took a cursory look because I had no idea I was pregnant. The situation called for disposal, not taxidermy or saving like pressed flowers.

Your heart breaks for yourself.

fix:
How would that prove your point? Different nomenclature does not change the essence of what a human is. The baby, born or unborn, teenager, senior citizen are all persons regadless of stage of development.
Calling something by another name does not change what it is. Too bad that is is exactly what the pro abort folks want to do. They want to change the language in hopes people will stop viewing reality as it is but rather view it as they desire.

**Then call it Little Lord Fauntleroy if you must. To me an unborn human is, after 8 weeks’ gestation, a fetus.

Your reference to the “culture of death” is inapplicable in st lucy’s case and in mine, and in any situation where a spontaneous abortion, or miscarriage, occurs. Her response was sentimental and laced with sadness because she responded to her loss on a visceral level. My response was matter of fact in a situation where there was no time or room for tears or melodrama. I had a dozen people waiting for me onstage in a packed theater. I could not sink into “why me?” or “now what?” The show had to go on, and it did go on. Afterward I pondered the event and concluded that this was God’s will for the embryo and for me, and I had no need to question that. I have never questioned that.

You can’t lay it all at the feet of the “culture of death”. Sometimes it’s just death, plain and simple.

That is my point. You can call the baby whatever you want, but that cannot change the fact it is a human person that has a right to life. Disqualifying that person is wrong, objectively, no matter how people try to manipulate the truth. That goes for individuals or governments.

**You can call the fetus whatever you want, but that cannot change the fact that abortion is legal in the United States of America at this time; so every woman who has one is within the laws made by man and every woman who has one will be judged by the only One qualified to judge her actions, and that One is not you, not me, not any other human being.

Using medical terms to dehumanize the baby cannot change the action. I do not seek to judge any person, only actions. No matter the culpability the action is wrong regardless of the law. Might does not make right.

**Then fix it.

We will be judged on our efforts, not on the results.
**Then that makes this another lucky day for you. It’s kind of like paying down your time in Purgatory with indulgences.

Abortion is murder. It is Satanic. It is the worst possble evil that can be inflicted on or upon humans by other humans. When I think about it, I want to vomit. Abortion will be the downfall of the world. All other social problems are because of it. My mind cannot even comprehend the hardheartedness and desperation of the mothers. Not can it begin to understand the callous and evil nature of Doctors who keep on doing it, despite extreme awareness of the fact that a human is being deprived of life. I
I just want to say one thing about your post. The people who murder these unborn children are not doctors. No, to give them the title of a doctor is to give them a status of a healer. Abortionists are not “doctors” they are murderers.

“Different nomenclature does not change the essence of what a human is.”

What is the essence of a human?

Changing the name you call a thing or an action does not change what that thing or action is.

If I call you an orange do you suddenly become an orange?

fix:
Well, you know there is no such thing as luck.
**

Then I guess it’s all premeditated manipulation of the system? Putting one foot on the next rung and a foot on the next rung, all humble and hopeful?**

Not really.

**That’s OK. Lots of people work the system; some don’t even know they’re doing it.
