Ok.

What are you personally going to do to help women find better alternatives to abortion?
While I understand your question, I think it is an odd way to ask it. For example, if someone was killing everyone in your family, would you ask what better alternative there is for the murderer? Alternative is the key word here, like abortion is just one of the many different acceptable choices one can make. Abortion is unacceptable.

There are alternatives to abortion. Your example is poor.

Actually the number is probably astromonmical along with the one’s that we know about, for those who have had a spontanous abortion because of ABC is probably vastly unknown and I believe we only know the number of abortions which are reported, not all that are done unreported and those because of ABC and by other means.

Its commonly known as the new holocaust.

It is truly evil. Prayer and fasting much be undertaken to drive it from our midst.
Funny. I seem to recall that there did exist a time before ABC was widely or legally available, obviously fewer people were using it than now for that reason alone. I seem to recall that at the same time there were NOT more abortions happening per capita or anything like.

I wonder why. Couldn’t have been a little thing like people being more responsible about who they slept with? More willing to accept the inescapable fact that sex results in babies - ABC or no - and stand by and help their partners - or family members - when a couple got pregnant? More willingness to support the children that did come along?

If ABC is supposedly a preventative to abortion then it’s doing an awfully good job of masquerading as irrelevant or indeed as the opposite of a preventative.

That makes sense. In that case we don’t need the infallible Church to tell us what NL says.
Apparently we do. Too many people ignore NL. The Catholic Church is the deposit of Faith. Why wouldn’t we need it? However, the Catholic Church doesn’t make an imprint and speak for those of other faiths who believe abortion is a heinous crime. Where does that belief come from?

You write with reason, but denigrate with subtlety. (read crafty)

I’m not sure we can say anyone ignores NL. I think it more likely we have various ideas of what NL is. Those with one interpretation can then say those with other interpretations ignore NL. As each interpretation points to the others saying the others are wrong, we face the question of how we know what discernment is correct.

The Church says its discernment is right because it says it is right. That’s what everyone else says about their discernment. They say they are right. Lots of opinions.

Nature/ Natural Law is quite jealous. There is always a consequence for ignoring it. Some consequences are of great magnitude, others very small, but there is always a logical and natural consequence when balance in nature is ignored or humans decide to take into their own hands what should be left to nature.

The Catholic Church bases its decisions, documents and dogmas not only on theology, but also upon what is balanced in nature. Natural Law cannot be overturned, by anyone human.

That’s an intersting opinion. Under that theory, we could simply wait for the consequences of actions to see if NL was properly discerned. That, of course, would open the door to judgement of the consequences as desirable or undesirable. But, I wonder what one would do if conflicting views of NL yeilded the same result?

And then there are logical consequences to consider.

That could be, but I don’t understand. Can you elaborate?

Abortion is murder. It is Satanic. It is the worst possble evil that can be inflicted on or upon humans by other humans. When I think about it, I want to vomit. Abortion will be the downfall of the world. All other social problems are because of it. My mind cannot even comprehend the hardheartedness and desperation of the mothers. Not can it begin to understand the callous and evil nature of Doctors who keep on doing it, despite extreme awareness of the fact that a human is being deprived of life. I
You’re right, abortion is evil. Now we have to stop it.

Hi, Limerick,
I rather hoped to remain subscribed because it’s an important topic to me. I wasn’t sure the best way to encourage others to stay on topic, without seeming like a “tattle tail”.😛
That’s why I tried to humor our friend Willie.🙂 But thanks for your suggestion, and I hope you are doing well! Blessings to you.

I have and continue to do so.

That aside, there are many FREE resources available to help women. They provide free medical assistance, housing assistance, job assistance, etc. MANY. Unfortunately, the abortion mills won’t let any of them advertise or help the women there because they’re out to murder and make money, period. The last thing they care about is the women.
I understand that there are all these resources but not everyone who has an abortion qualifies for these resources. Many people who have abortions fall above the financial minimum for many of these services. Also, you raise a child. Not a baby. Many of these resources end after the first year. Where does she find day care? Health care? Education? If she is not at poverty line or below good luck finding resources.

Also, you don’t know how she would suffer from embarassment from a growing belly. People asking all of these questions and then telling them that she is not keeping the child. People are very disturbed when they hear that a woman is not keeping a child either. Someone with eating disorders who is struggling with a very private condition may not want to go parading around town that she has gotten pregnant and will not keep the baby.

As has been said, abortion is a very drastic solution to a very big problem. It’s easy for many, especially men, to say have the baby. Have many of you looked at the estimates for raising a child the FIRST year. Much less every year after that. 🤷

Pregnancies outside of Matrimony are mainly the result of fornication. Yes, God does not approve of fornication. The possibility of a child was a natural barrier to promiscuous behavior and violent sexual behavior.

If the married cannot afford (in their minds) to raise the child, then a decision had to be made about sexual relations.

Now, with these moral and natural barriers “removed” by Abortion, after thirty-five+ years, what has been solved – nothing. People weren’t liberated by “the freedom to choose”. In the years since “the pill” and deceived into “choice” people have become enslaved to a culture of death, sexual promiscuity, sexual abuse, pornography, immoral television, immoral internet, pedophilia, sexual violence and many other perversions.

One of the reasons cited for abortion was to spare the “mother” from the horrors of illegal abortions. In the mid-1960’s the estimated number of mothers dying yearly from illegal abortions was about 250. To “save” the 250-ish, 1.2 million innocent children die annually. Some “mothers” still die annually from the “safe, legal procedure”.

How many dead children does it take to end the imagined problems cited by Abortion-supporters? How many dead children does it take to end the real slavery created by Abortion-supporters? Can the children be killed fast enough? And we wonder why the world is in such a mess and Christ’s church is under such vicious attack.

Our fault and by our “choice”.
